Where have all the old fashioned hardware stores gone?...the nice man in a brown overall & a pencil behind his ear would know what I meant by 'twisty, bolty thingy' (even if it hadn't been invented).

I hadn't seen that, shaney - I must look out for it. I have been watching Kate Humble make her way along the frankincense trail, and she's rather good. She got rather crabby when a Saudi astronaut took her up in a glider and then chose to do some unexpected aerobatics when gliding in to land again. Something along the lines of 'Are you mad, your royal highness???'

Morning all. Lovely day today so I have my washing out, There is always something, I now have to go for more blood tests as the tablets I am taking are having an adverse effect so I am Bl00dy fed up but I will try not to be a wet blanket and wont say anymore about it.
I hope you are getting through your problems Woofy and that your leg is getting better Shaney and Dolly hope you are getting sorted out as well. If I've missed anybody with ailments get well soon everybody.
I have the carpet man coming tomorrow to measure up and then on Friday my "blind" man is coming to fix the new blind so it shouldn't be too long before my lounge is sorted. I know I wont be sorry to put the garden chairs back in the garden.

Congrats .Robi and anyone else who helped to get us back . My emails are overflowing and I got confused wondering which to answer first but then again I get confused easily these days .I think I'll buy a few briquettes ready for next Winter Robi and a few candles ready for an emergency .Life gets too exciting at times doesn't it .Off to a Geranium show today ,they have a lot of American geraniums ,do yo have any Robi? Sooo good to be back! Thank you Robinia, thank you Lottie and thank you Eds! I image googled "whiskery" (as I often do, instead of looking a word up in a dictionary) and a lot of old men and seals came up - can't imagine why Ed wouldn't want those kisses Lottie :)
