smelly carpet shampooer

I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

How long did that thread last woofy? I had other things to think about (!)...actually there was an emergrncy next door, it looks like my lovely neighbour's had a stroke, I'm so sad about it.

the woofy thread Robi or another one? I should be gardening but sitting in the shade is nicer.
the Lionel Blair...the one where my comment was deemed stupid, ha!

the keys on this keyboard have become hard to press these past few days, since it got muggy...I wonder if Tarquin ever spilled his sloe gin on it?
too hot to garden here...about 26C

Well typical, I go on a water meter, got my amended bill today, very pleased with that...now there's an almighty whiff in the kitchen which I can only imagine is the washer. I suppose it'll take me a tanker of bloody water to sort it out.

bangs on sticky keys ..... grrrrr

Robi, a new dolly should sort it...
Well I did garden, very successfully. Plants surrounding pond are now in place in four large tubs, hiding the bricks and things that the pond is stood on and the pond net has been raised to allow for the growing irises. I then got the hose out and gave everything a good watering including Rab whose favourite thing in life is to bite the water coming out of the hose. The tortoise, who also likes being watered when its hot, stomped around his pen after me till i turned the hose onto fine spray and gave him a shower too. I am about to go and have my shower, not under the hose, i offered to shower shughy and he gave me the "are you mad?" look.
It will be hot here tonight as I have to dry bake some more turkey for the dogs...the things I do.
If you want a nice long cold drink, look for sachets of funkin mojito mix either plain or raspberry and try it long over ice with fizzy mineral water...the sachets are a bit dear but so delicious and i figure I have earned it.

and hit enter too soon. I am sorry to hear about your neighbour Robi, apparently if you are going to have a stroke, a spell of hot weather can trigger it. I hope she is okay, treatment has come on a lot.
heck woofy you've been busy for a hot day...I put a cup of white vinegar through a rinse and I think it's bit better.
neighbour's stroke is a bad one apparently :o(
sticky keys = Tarquin spilt cider, didn't use it much...thought as much
Hello, I did in facr comment very early re woofy not be up, but the post didn't appear so I gave up. Habe been to Brighton and trailed through the shops. Got myself a nice long maxi dress, lots of stuff from £1 shop, and a all in one strapless thingy with trousers (we call them monos, no idea what you call them) for hija. I took photos of 5 different ones and texted them to her and she chose the one she wanted. It is too hot here for me as I have no summer clothes, will have to wear the mono I bought for myself.

Brighton bus took 2hrs to get back, trains, traffic, etc awful, am shattered
brighton was wonderful, just so young and many of the girls in really pretty 50's clothes, oh how I wish...............
Haven't been to Brighton for yonks - probably 40 years or so!! My uncle used to own a hotel on the sea front and the whole extended family used to take the hotel over at Christmas. Fun times!!

So sorry about your neighbour Robi.

Its actually been lovely weather here today. About 21 degrees which is perfect for me and nice and cool now. My resident gardener has felled a huge conifer which we planted here 32 years ago. It needed to come down but I am sad.

Mr LL has gone to a Parish Meeting and I am cooking dinner.

See you soon, but just in case an early Oight, oight. xxxx
Yes Robi sorry about your neighbour.

Oh dear Robi I am sorry to hear that. I do my machine with thick loo bleach, works wonders
Morning all..here I is, Robi towers fresh and fragrant (fingers crossed) much better weather, sunny and warm but a fresh breeze and thankfully not so humid.

good morning all. It was hot at 4 am here so we didn't go out. There is a crow in the garden flying from tree to tree tormenting the boys. I think they are quite enjoying chasing him. I am having a bit of a clean up upstairs as the tortoise is finally living outside...after lunch out in the garden again.
Gawd, its hot and I hate it! Apparently Chez neti is covered in fleas, thanks to hija having all the feral cats in for a picnic. I am now trying to direct de fleaing operations from here, I am so so annoyed, and of course they love the heat! This is my punishment for staying here too long.

Bought a pair of straight leg white cotton jeans from Demelza charity for £2.50 and they are a size small, bit tight but OK cos I cannot find these anywhere!

Glad Robi is feeling more upbeat today, and of course glad woofy and the pups are fine.

hello all I have had another active day. Got out the electric fans and cleaned them and set them up, did a bit more in the spare (ex tortoise room) tidied up my craft room again and spent some time in the garden. I am now weary and filthy enjoying a cold drink before going to shower.
Absolutely lovely day here. Lovely and warm, but not over hot with a fresh breeze - and I have been out into town wearing a............................... DRESS........................................

(with 3/4 leggings)! Got dollars and Euros to go to Russia and put a stop on my post for 11 days padlock is going on the gates). Had a pub lunch.

And the best thing is I don't hurt very much at all today!!
