smelly carpet shampooer

I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

Oh Lottie, whatever next? Just keep yourself in one piece till your hols. The only bogus posts I mind are the malicious ones. I do think though that as I have said, google plays a part in sending people with similar problems here.
I am watching John Deed. Old but good.

God Bless Shaney and may your friend rest in peace.
Morning all..
Shaney I'm so sorry about your friend but it's a blessing she didn't suffer too long. It's sad when we lose anyone, all these spaces suddenly open up around us. I love the song, remember the good times :o) (and I always liked Dexy's)

Lottie I hope you haven't seized up...you'd better fit some stabilisers 'til Thursday. I've nearly come a cropper a couple of times this week from wearing cheap rubbery flip flops in the house. I shouldn't wear them but they're cooler than slippers in this heat.

Neti I had the song contest on last night while I pottered about and I really liked Spain & Germany's songs. I didn't think Denmark deserved last place, it was far better than that wailing woman with the cottage loaf on her head.

I'm getting fed up of people answering Q's with 'this seems suspicious, it's been done before'. So? They should answer it seriously or not at all. Any trolls want to cause unrest so straight answers will soon have them bored.

Lovely sunny day and if bird song was an olympic sport ours would win. Woofy if I stand very still and listen in my garden late at night, I can hear monsters too :o)
Deepest Sympathy Shaney. It is so sad when you lose anybody. My friend's funeral is tomorrow too.

I'm reading all your posts every day but can't some on to chat at the moment..sorry.
I wish you all all the best and you have a great trip Lottie.

Hug for jude, hope you are okay. having a lazy morning here because we can.
Hi all -

So sorry Shaney. It is so awful to lose a close friend. She is at peace now. xx

Since my fall I realise I must have twisted my knee which is now painful and grazed my elbow (which is no problem) I feel as stiff as a board. Mr LL said much the same as you Shaney - don't move or bend at all. He told me off for shifting a plant pot out in the garden. It is just so difficult not to do things. I can't just sit and read - I wish I could, but I lack concentration these days.

Really, hot, hot, hot here!!

Robi do you run around the garden, stick your head in bushes, whine loudly and refuse to go to bed?
LOL at that thought Woofy!!

I love the garden at night and looking up at the stars. The only monster I have is the troll next door, and hopefully he will sell his house soon. He has priced it far too highly!!! :o(

Why does hot weather turn my hair into a curly bush!?

I have got the avon spray stuff but I forget to use it.
Ah, Mr Sheen, I remember!! ;o). I have two of them in the cupboard and just can't live with the smell of furniture polish!!
Question Author
I prefer it to the saucer sized (seriously) bites
Well yes, I can understand that. This year so far no bites!!! Very unusual for me. Well that is one less thing to worry about - I usually end up on antibiotics because when I get them they are really nasty.
woofy what I do in the garden of an evening is my business ....hahaha...I get bitten at night too. I've put my repellant outside the back door...do I remember to use it?? I'm hoping they'll find me less tasty now I'm not on the hormones.
