As you are no doubt aware, on this date 30 years ago we were waking up to the news that Freddie had died. Throughout today, in memory of his brilliance, i will be posting music by Queen. And where better to begin than at the beginning;

My kids think they know me. Just received a text from daughter number one saying, "Bet you've been playing Queen songs all day, Dad." Just replied, "No. Only since dinner time." :-)

Mine was on-line stuff and I'm quite easily distracted, so Queen had to be put on hold.

On its release a review was, It starts with the warm gentle licks of the Red Special.
