Kate McCann now thinks it was possibly the clothes that her daughter was wearing that led to her kidnap....according to The Sun.....I know, I know not the most reliable of sources, but please.........

It is about time that this woman faced up to her part in this tragic affair.

Hear, hear, Jason-p
we all have different opinions about this extremely tragic issue, the op was expressing their view, i wonder will we ever know the truth, but imo this wee girl was dead quite soon aster she disappeared.
According to the book, Madelaine asked her mother "Why didn`t you come last night when we were crying"? That was the night before she went missing but still the parents went out and left the kids again the following evening. I find it hard to believe the mother didn`t feel guilty enough after that question to stay with her children instead of going out.
Or they have childrn themselves and know how to lok after them ?I wouldnt have left my camera unattended in an unlocked apartment nevr mind 3 young tots who didnt add up to 7 years of age together.Yes im a terrible person.Thats why my daughters not missing i guess?
thanks DEN, for pre-empting that question.
jason - I have never ever left my son all alone in an apartment on his own or anywhere else for that matter. He has always come first and always will.
No probs, Sara. (:o)
I'll leave you to work out my next question... ;o)
I feel compassion for the McCanns, simply because I know that I've done some stunningly stupid things in the past which could very well have resulted in 'very bad things' happening.

Something that hasn't been taken into account is that holiday thing, where (and this doesn't happen to everyone), you kinda detach yourself from real life....you know - you see people whizzing around on mopeds in shorts and t-shirts without a helmet on...you know what I mean - it's that "How could anything happen here? I'm on holiday" attitude...

while I sympathise with your view No 6 - she has decided to put herself in the "press" for helping to find M if still alive, funding, guilt, whatever, so she must expect flak onm what she has done - including from ABers which she probably does not read anyway.
"so she must expect flak onm what she has done"
And what exactly is that DT?
This poor woman has been in torment for four years now. Have some pity for God's sake all you perfect people on here.
Exactly ladybirder no such thing as a perfect parent but you wouldnt know that reading some of the comments here,I bet the real abducter must be delighted that so many focus the blame on the McCanns instead of on him.
spitefulness - cattiness: malevolence by virtue of being malicious or spiteful or nasty
Just occasionally I am ashamed to be a woman
Reading some of these comments is such a time

teddy boy & Den...

I could not have put it better myself.

No, I am not perfect, no-one is, but all three of my children have grown up and never been abducted, and not because I have been lucky......I was vigilant.
Oh my god, God is talking, Miss or Mrs Perfectionist who never left her kids exposed for one minute - and I am not saying kidnapping, but some other major incident exposure.....

I do not believe it.

I am glad they made it through safely though, as most kids do.
I.Don.No - My heart does go out to the McCanns, the mental torment must be unbearable.

What really gets my goat on here is, some Abers intimating that we are all not perfect and at sometime must have left our children unattended. Thus judging us, as we are supposedly judging them. As I said, it would never have entered my head to leave my son, unattended in a apartment room - being abducted wouldn't have been my first thought, but getting out of bed and falling on a stone tiled floor, wandering into the kitchen area and turning the stove on, a multitude of incidents could have taken place.

No, I am not the perfect parent, but I certainly would never ever have left those babies in an apartment alone.
i think the parents of this poor young lass should accept a huge portion of responsibility. I do wonder what level of sympathy people would have had if it were a single young parent that had gone out and left her children alone in an apartment whilst going out on the raz. Sorry - the only sympathy I have are for her and her brother and sister. I for one will not be buying the book. I agree with a previous poster - i think that poor little lass was more than likely dead before her parents probably realised she had gone and to me they are very lucky the were spared a prosecution for neglect. In my opinion it beggars belief that two such intelligent people, both qualified in social care should make such a bad decision to leave three small children in a foreign country alone in a room. They are very lucky they still have 2 children left.
