Why is it necessary to whow it? It can't be vital to the story? OK Sp points out below that there was an "uproar" over a gay bedroom scene. My question is, why must we have it on TV soaps at all. We all know about bandit bedroom activities, why is it vital to show it in TV before the watershed? come to that why are soaps exempt from normal watershed rules anyway?

I remember when Big Ears stayed over at Noddy's house and they slept in a bed together. That was bad enough but the line needed to be drawn when Big Ears woke up "feeling a little queer".

Enid Blyton was such an outrage.
Or rather - what has homosexuality got to do with a decline in morals?

Is it all the gay footballers taking out injunctions to stop the press revealing that they've had eight year affairs with their sister-in-law?

Is it about the gay golf stars who rack up over twenty mistresses whilst married?

Is it the gay girls who sleep with celebs in order to further their chances of appearing topless on the cover of Nuts magazine?

Are you REALLY laying the blame at gays for a perceived breakdown in morals in the UK?
Who is Steve?

You could do what I do R1 and just not have a telly. You would then be able to control entirely what you view. (In my case, cookery programs and Family Guy are apparently all I watch and Family Guy is way more obscene than a couple of fellas having a kiss and a cuddle).
Themanwithoname...........has a name. :o)
and do you think that is mr L jack
Ah!
Mr L ?

If you mean the Mr L I think you mean..........No.
oh, ok
andy, re the watershed, it is claimed that despite the spread of time-shifting viewing, the number of people watching TV 'live' - as first broadcast - is actually growing

Surely the title should read 'Bedtime Scenes in Soaps'? You are referring to bedroom scenes are you not?
Activities suggest something such as singing and dancing etc which are pretty gay activities as in the proper use of the word
Hello all. Had to go out. I was taking the preverbial about morals. But man on man makes me want to throw up.
JTH I think you maybe mistaking me for someone else who shares those sentiments.
ps we all have a name.
Phew...........

Just back in.

No, Steve, I'm not......:o)
So in a soap opera if an adult male was shown in bed with an underage girl but they were just 'snuggling' that would be ok too would it?
