jackthehat >> that formerly unpleasant smoky pubs and clubs are now stuffed with oodles of fresh air and this is reflected in the way that they have subsequently flocked to these more pleasant establishments...... <<
are you taking the p the only thing in pubs these days is fresh air
It is illegal to be seen eating at the wheel of your car whilst driving....yes?.....so if the same principle is allowed here....i.e one of your hands will be holding the cigarette, whilst you drive with the other ( you cant hold the wheel or manouevre it properly holding a ciggie, can you? )......then why not ban it?....if you want a cigarette, pull over somewhere safe ( in a layby/service station on a motorway. or a Tesco's/Any shop's car park ) and have your cigarette in safety.
The best thing about working in pubs, clubs and wine bars niow is that you come out smelling the same way you went in.......not smelling like a piggin' chimney and needing to have another shower when you got home.
As said, I have nothing against people who smoke, as long as it does'nt involve those who dont.
Passive smoking is the worst, as non smokers dont ask for it or deserve it...do they?.
I have nothing against smoking per se. However I do object to smokers thinking that it is fine to inflict their drug on others, throw their butts on the ground and drive with a burning cigarette in one hand.
At least drinkers don't insist everyone walking past them on the street take a sip.
Smoking in public places should be illegal especially in busy streets.
cazzz1975 >>but what has this to do with smoking dr f?
can you tell me the merits of smoking please? <<
sorry itchy was at the house and i missed this post
think you will find that any doctor treating someone with depression will not tell them to not stop unless the person wants to try.
there was one ward in a hospital that i visited that would still allow patients to smoke alas not the ward i was in
