Well seeing that AOG didn't write the news article merely asked the question, I don't know why he is being attacked .There are numerous countries in the world that are blaming immigrants for the rise in attacks on LGBT people so maybe the answer is yes.
//rape classically used to be underreported 2% were reported and 98% unrecorded and SO.... you can double the 2% to 4% ( that is a 100% rise//
What a relief, I can stop taking it so seriously now. Will the Beep and other "news agencies"" please stop shouting such misleading statistics at me? ........ Thought not.
// What a relief, I can stop taking it so seriously now. //
oh good you read it correctly togo
well ---- at least you read it
you can stop taking seriously a sudden doubling of an event with a low reporting rate, as the perceived reported rate can double easily without their being an underlying increase
( this is Criminal Law 101 - "crime waves - are they ?")
there are times when I think writing 1+1 = 2 will overpower the intellects of some of the people on AB
/// What do you think about the idea that LGBT people might actually be reporting crimes more? That would be a huge influence on numbers. ///
/// Do you think that might be a contributing factor? ///
That could well be, but it doesn't alter the fact that it could also be due to the rise in foreign cultures into this country?
If you can provide a possible reason, why am I being condemned for also providing a reason? After all it was I who asked the question in the first instance.
So why am
AOG - I have already shown you and explained (anecdotally, it seems) that 'the likes of me' has more to fear from the Far-right than any people from differing cultures...
// As a late comer, could someone give me an appraisal of how we've equated that LGBT equates to Immigration?//
because dear sweet old AOG who is the OP
equates everything to immigration, big black fuzzy wuzzies ( sorry the Four Feathers was on teevee yesterday ) murdering us and worse in our beds at night without any squeak from the Press
