Will Boris Do A U-Turn On Christmas?
For once he would be right to stop the Christmas free-for-all. He might then come across to more people as a leader.

The strength of the UK's armed forces is around 190,000. Let's be incredibly kind and say that a half of them would be available for such tasks. I say incredibly kind because the 193,000 people includes naval personnel who could be anywhere at sea, aircrew and groundcrew who maintain the UK's reaction alert facilities, senior officers and a large number who are in overseas postings. There are around 67m people in the UK. But let's be kind again and say only 10% of those might be "willfully disobedient" and not do as they are told. This leaves 100,000 troops to police almost 7 million people. So one member of the armed forces for every 70 dissidents. And that's being very kind with the figures.
I think he might indeed pull in the reigns a little. But...many will not listen anyway and do their own thing regardless. Im kinda sitting on the fence a bit...I hate the rules, I think many, (not all though!) are unnecessary but unfortunately luges swathes of the population seem to lack common sense and ....hence why rules are needed.
