ichi; Christians don't blow themselves up hoping to kill British mothers and babies at precisely 11 am on Armistice Sunday, that is the prerogative of Islamists who want to be martyrs, which is exactly what he was. //
I spent last weekend in Belfast, viewing the vast murals dedicated to 'religious martyrs' who routinely slaughtered fellow citizens of their city who did not share their particular slant on Christianity.
As a Christian, you are in no position to take the moral high ground regarding violence to people who believe differently.

AH; some people don't want to know, as it might affect their world-view. If Muslims are bad, then End Of! Don't make excuses or you'll be accused of being a terrorist lover or sympathiser. Menachim Begin - terrorist (Stern Gang). Nelson Mandela - terrorist.
Terrorists are always the other lot; our lot are freedom fighters, or patriots.
What an awful lot are the human race.

Indeed - if I had a pound for every time I have heard my Wicklow-born mother-in-law refer to the 1916 Uprising insurgents shot by the British as 'poets and patriots' I would be a rich man!
I have always believed that your opinion of who is referred to as a 'terrorist' is decided by whose gun barrel you are staring down at the time.

But he was. He converted to Christianity at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral in 2017.

And of course Andy H Paisley’s church was named the Martyrs Memorial - I think after the Oxford Martyrs.
Anyway, the likes of Naomi, Khandro, fender et al may turn out to be correct. But I’m afraid they are allowing prejudice too free a rein. It’s not how serious people get to the bottom of motive, which is based on evidence.
The scary thing for me is the fact that these acts seem often born totally without warning. This chap wasn’t liaising with some group to acquire a weapon, and possibly leaving himself vulnerable to being rumbled. He was it appears quietly going about making his own. Ditto the murderer of Sir David Amess. And it only takes one person to flip for a vehicle to become a deadly weapon

The Remembrance Day bombing (also known as the Enniskillen bombing or Poppy Day massacre)[1][2] took place on 8 November 1987 in Enniskillen. the (IRA) bomb exploded near the town's war memorial (cenotaph) during a Remembrance Sunday ceremony. Eleven people (10 civilians and a police officer) were killed,

bringing the troubles of ireland into the mess of islam is sloppy, trouble there were not really about religion, a united ireland.
ask an ex ira or loyalist thye would say the same, were british or we want a united ireland, ok so bring another part of the worlds trouble here religiously...how many muslims in the uk, do you or any other politico want to upset them, the uk governments have made a rod for our backs now and into the future, muslims have a 6th century mindset of war.... ie the hard core, but im sure the less zealots would follow suit in the name of brotherhood of fellow etc, but still blow eachother up in there homelands with abandon.

difference here is muslims err some if not all, want a united ummah refers to the whole Muslim world, or the community of believers. As a theological concept, the ummah is meant to transcend national, racial, and class divisions to unite all Muslim, basically where muslims live, as the world belongs to allah, any non mulims are negligent, you could tax them or jizya or they war war booty ie women and child girls...erm think aisha.

roy, you don't know. You have a predictable opinion (predictable because I have read other posts by you), but you don't know. I think it's not a good thing to make unsupported comments just because you want to propagandise your world-view.

Your view on all things bombing and mass stabbing related are clear too. You always appear to be more upset with people that don't like other people bombing and mass stabbing than you do the bombers and mass stabbers.
What an awful lot are the human race.

Sloppy? It speaks to the violence perpetrated under the guise of religious fervour.
As for the Troubles being 'not really about religion' - feel free to YouTube any of the news reports of the time, or ask anyone who remembers their history - like me for instance.

YNNAFYMMI, "18.54.So you are saying that the Nazis and the SS werent murderous terrorists, but just peace seeking freedom fighters.I think you need psychiatric treatment if you think that the Nazis were some sort of freedom fighters."
Where were the Nazis and the SS mentioned or even hinted at in the 18:54 post?
Are either of those groups normally described as terrorists?
