I agree, Smurf. I've just watched Professor Whitty and Sir Patrick Vallance trying to advise the public....despite having Johnson as leader of the country. They looked uncomfortable to say the least.
You should come up to Scotland some time, gness.Sturgeon up here has made as big an aers of it up here as Johnson has down south.Just as the eejits down south keep on voting Johnson in,the eejits up here in Scotland keep on voting Sturgeon in.You have to laugh, otherwise you would greet(cry).
No need for (cry) ynna.....where I grew up I heard greet more often than cry.... :-)...and with the leader we have just now I could greet but at least we have a change coming.
Billy Connolly said he didn't want a, "wee pretendy government in Edinburgh" back in 1997.

Thanks,TCL.Back to you Anne.
I think Johnson is an arrogant lazy glory-seeker who cares for absolutely nothing and nobody other than himself!!... because that is exactly what his former employers and co-workers... not a bad person necessarily but dishonest and driven more by appetites than ideas... amoral... not really the sort of person you want in charge during a crisis...

I also think the tories were all warned about these character flaws and chose to make him leader in 2019 even though there were better candidates available...
you are all so good at bashing him, but not one has said who would make a better leader.
That's because it's easy to bash someone Em.
Much more difficult to supply leadership.
i am sure you are right 1ozzy.
Boris does play the buffoon, it's part of his strategy, it's easier to win when your opponents under estimate you.
perhaps, i don't think he is a buffoon, but he is certainly under the cosh, and this party debacle has not helped matters one jot. Whilst we were under strict lockdown they had a party, not a lot of sympathy from me and others.
jeremy hunt.... don't like him but he'd be better than johnson

rory stewart... was the best option in 2019. probably the best tory around!!

alok sharma... good job on cop26

Nadhim zahawi... don't like him but he'd be better than johnson... did a good job on the vaccine rollout...
There's a difference, Emmie, between better and good. Almost anyone would be better, well, would be hard to be worse, but a good leader? God knows, there's not much choice.
Absolutely sick of reading all the childish insults and name calling - this group is becoming worse by the minute.
looks like a bit of a lefty love in has been going on, missed this last night.
I think of it as the let's all hate Trump syndrome, Lankeela. They can't help themselves.
A bit like those who hate Nicola Sturgron then?
Nicola Sturgeon...
:-).
For a new PM the last 2 years must have been like a bad dream. For the public a nightmare to see such tomfoolery coming from any leader.
