Good evening and welcome to Nungate Towers.
Igor is at the door waiting to welcome you all, be careful if he offers to take care of your coats, and cloaks and broomsticks, you may never see them again.
Tonight's Tailcock is the Big Bertha, an anticipatory sort of brew.....
The running buffet has become firm favourite and will be running round the Towers yet again this evening - try and catch it if you can! For those members who are less fit (or just lazy) we have set up a nice supper in the snug. There you will find sorts of goodies as well as our world famous volly vonts, canopies and horses doovers.
As we still have a semblance of pleasant weather, we can indulge in some out door activities this evening, there are some pleasant walks around the rose garden, and the lake, we can stroll down to the beach (water is a tad cold and not really suitable paddling) The outdoor pool is heated so anyone who would like to go swimming can borrow a swimsuit.
Our favourite local band, The Tone Deafs have gone off on a tour of the Outer Hebrides so we have engaged the services of DJ Bernard for dancing down in the ballroom. All our usual facilities are available for members use so come on in and join the party
A warm welcome awaits who dare enter these portals
Hey Anne, knee much the same, still waiting for the appointment to go for treatment. AAh the toes! I'm a martyr to her toes! They are fine she hasn't said too much today about them but she's been away most of the day, so I suppose they are fine (she's taking the antibiotics though like a good girl)
Coming right up Madame Daisy. The memoir is on the back burner at the moment, Madame is so busy sleeping these days I can wait until she has her treatment and stopped those tablets.
On the whole I like the pills, the knee used to keep me awake at nights now I sleep better, it'd the length of time I sleep and the number of times I doze off during the day that's the problem
the pills and the stick are both helping, I can actually get to the loo and back without too much trouble. The problem is going to the kitchen to fetch a drink or something. It's trying to manage the stick and carry something makes life interesting
