However, as the Bible says, there are many who “are called ‘gods,’ whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many ‘gods’ and many ‘lords.’” (1 Corinthians 8:5) Through the ages mankind has worshiped a multitude of gods. There have been gods of fertility, of love, of war, and of wine and revelry and atheist. In the Hindu religion alone, gods number into the millions.
So Richard Dawkins is a God? Funny that, because I disagree with some of the things Richard Dawkins says, so how can he be my God? Do you disagree with anything your God says, Elderman? What complete and utter tosh!
Elderman, if I am to understand you correctly..it says in the bible that there are other gods? how can that be true? either the bible has not been translated properly or god has been economical with the truth. Normally I wouldn't bother with arguing over the complete tosh written in the bible but your quote is so silly.
what i said naomi is that i believe everything in the quran, however there are some stuff that even i have never heard of, as there is many branches of islam, so about that animal thing, i dont know what it is and i am currently looking into it to see what it is about :)
i was talking about branches of islam, like sunnis, and shias, . when did i say i did not know anything in the quran, i said that i dont know about some of the specified branches.
Sith, nothing to do with branches of Islam. The Koran is the Koran.
//when did i say i did not know anything in the quran, //
You didn't - and I didn't suggest you did.
You said //i believe everything in the quran//
.... but you don't believe the thing about monkeys and pigs - in fact you don't know what it is - so clearly you don't know what your book contains - even though to claim to believe everything in it.
I suspect you're winding us up - and I'm not the first.
Many studies have shown that there is an inverse correlation between religious belief and education – the better educated you are, the less likely you are to believe in god. The less educated a person is, the more likely they are to believe in god and other supernatural things such as past life regression, spiritual auras, clairvoyancey, etc.
This is not to say that everyone who believes in god is unintelligent. It simply suggests that the more scientifically verifiable knowledge you acquire about the physical world you inhabit, the less likely you are to believe in the supernatural.
naomi, what i said is that I DONT KNOW about the monkey and pig thing, i am neutral on the subject which is why i have started researching it, ok? when i have an answer i will give it, however i am pretty sure whatever answer i give you will find something to criticise about.
