Avast Blocking My External Hard Drive

My Avast demanded to be updated yesterday, so I did. Now when I plug my external hard drive in (a little Maxell portable) nothing comes up and I can't back things up. I assume these two events are connected as there was no trouble till today.

Is there any way to tell Avast to permit it? Or of restoring the earlier Avast? (Though I assume the latter would be risky.)

(Please don't advise installing MSE instead as I had the same trouble with it in the past; that's why I installed Avast in the first place.)

Hello all, ahh April has given birth. It was exciting after all these months of waiting.
Busy day shopping and there was a big marathon blocking all the main street.
I've done a huge pile of washing. And we are put tonight for tapas!

Stop shouting jno - of course I was watching April, got home just in time to see the hoof in the foof. I was so excited, and happy.
We've just been out for tapas but I cant eat so much anymore.

Happy Easter one and all. We've had a lovely day out. Went to San An and parked up and walked along the prom for a coffee but then we were stuck in car park as the marathon bike race had closed our road. Hija saw a policeman who said he would get us out at the first opportunity so we phoned the restaurant to say we would late. The we are told to go full speed following a copper on a bike and they would raise the barrier for us at the end, needless to say we were 10 mins early for the first reservation!, now in bed watching tv eating a creme egg! LG!

it was a quiet biddy Easter, then?

I've been indoors most of the time, partly because the Ancestry website is free for the weekend so I have been busy ancestor-hunting, and partly because I am trying to empty the Sky box hard drive by watching old films. Today it was Finding Nemo and then Finding Dory. I didn't bother recording Ben Hur, though, way too long.

We spent most of the day gardening. I repotted 4 trees in tubs, laid soaker hose round the pots in the tortoise pen and did a mega water and Sis assisted.

Oh, an easter giraffe, that's different.

Yes, it's been a quiet but sad (news) Easter here. It was too cold for me to potter in the garden so I've spent my time reading magazines, doing puzzles and scribbling on sudokus. Actually got enough strength back to chop veg so it was stewsday....and more of the same today.

More of the same weather too, dull and chilly, rf 4C :( We've had some showers but still no mega soaking.

What a day. Gbf was going to take me to lidl to buy a floor steamer, but wasn't feeling well. Hija's has my car, Mr n working . hija's wanted her birthday money so I had to.nip to the bank and get some more ruahwd to get 9am bus. Lidl is miles away from bus stop so I spend 5€ on a taxi, by ecl O did feel grand. Lidl was shut!!! I was furious!! Walked back to Ibiza and had a brekkie and it was horrible ( strong coffee and toasted French stick with grated tom on it, usually a tasty local brekkie!) So only one bus an hour being fiesta, big queue but as I know +/- where it will stop I get to be one of the first on! Met friend for coffee and came home. Hija's has been bitten and swears its fleas! So I've put a flea bomb in her room and will change all bedding when I am finally allowed to open the door (3 hours) forgot to get ironing board from her room so can't do the ironing. Missed baby giraffe on Good morning America, hija's bedding on boil wash and my bedding and bath stuff piling up. And tooth hole hurts. Fed up!

oh neti, jno jnr drove all the way down to the leafy south east yesterday to paint the matrimonial home (in hopes that it will sell for more money to be split between them if it looks nice), then realised everything was shut and he didn't actually have any paint.

Brighter but cold again. Got to get wrapped up to shop later, that's if there's anything left after the Easter locust plague has been.

Have a good time jno, I seep in a home in a state every night. Actually it's not bad, I do my best with a little help from my friends.

Does George still send Christmas and birthday cards neti? Sorry, I know it's not funny, but I had to laugh at 'flea bomb', it sounds like some kind of insect warfare. :)

Nah George upped and left, became a hippie I believe. I don't actually know if it was a flea bomb or if she really had fleas but it had pictures of insects, and just makes me feel better. Probably did no good at all, its psychological!!
Lovely day today, I wore three quarter leggings and a nice dress too thing. Tried on some Michael Kors Yasmin perfume, to die for, small bottle 50€ so will have to start saving. Tooth stitches out tomorrow! And Thurs a mate and me are getting early bus to Ibiza to buy steam mops!
