when I click on a photo in My Pictures it insists on opening in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 (I didn't even know I had this but I assume it came with Photoshop Elements 3). I'm given the option of opening in Windows Picture Viewer, which I want (quicker and less 'noisy' to look at), but have to do it every time. Where can I change the default to Picture Viewer? I've got Windows XP.

Isn't The Full Monty a brilliant film?

Apparently my blood sugar has been going up gradually every year, so they are treating me now before it gets too high. Am off for a choccy bar and a cuppa.
oh think I've been in a diabetic coma - was so tired at 5 ish so wrapped up in a blanket and fell asleep, woke up cos Mousey was asleep on my shoulder and it was heavy, I was laying sideways, how she managed to balance I don't know.
where there's a will there's usually a way with cats neti...

There's a black cat who bounds up and meows at me when I'm in the garden so I got her to fill my test tube the other day...I'm looking forward to to call from the path lab to say I'm having kittens. :)
Hello all
Hope you're all Okish .Poor Neti ...no more fruitgums and iced cake for you !
I've seen someone go into a diabetic coma so do as medico says and keep it under control with diet . Just think how svelte you'll be :)
I've been to see my SiL this afternoon .She looks Ok and is cheerful but they won't let her out until her oxygen levels are under control .
I love the decorations ,the wreaths are very pretty Woofy . I haven't even written any cards yet let alone found all the gubbins and get it organised .I suppose it'll be the usual tussle with the lights which I throw in a box every year and then wonder why they don't work when I get them out .
Evening everybiddy. Sorry to hear about your blood test Neti. Did they say it was impared glucose tolerance. IGT? That's what I was diagnosed with 3 years ago. I had to lose a stone and lay off the sugar and was told if I didn't I could develop diabetes 2 in 3 years. Whatever it is I hope you cope alright. I stopped having desserts and fancy cakes and the like and me having the sweetest tooth on earth found it difficult but I'm ok now about it.
I'm up to date now with Christmas organising...but not with my bank account!!!!!
I've been to school today for the last time this year and they gave me some lovely roses. The teacher of the class I help is leaving so next term could be a bit different but I will still go cos I love it.
I'm off for a coffee now with some Baileys in. That's my treat for today. Laters 'gaters.
Therein lies the problem, I want sweets, medico said I didn't have to give up anything, just to cut it down. So will saccharin be better than sugar in my coffee? I do have some sugar-free jellies. Oh dear couldn't have them as children cos there weren't many, then couldn't afford them when living in London, then, there were not any here when I arrived, so now, I think I should be allowed some.
Be careful with the sugar free sweets, they are often sweetened with sorbitol which can give you the runs.
I just had a really good dinner from M and S, it was pasta cooked with tomatoes and herbs and mozzarella topped with chunks of crispy garlic bread and whole cherry tomatoes. Its one of the dine in offers. the trouble is there is half left (it serves 2) I decided to eat it for lunch tomorrow but i could eat it NOW!!

I'd have had half for starters and the other half for the main. That sound nice, I will look in M&S if I'm near one. Troubel with most of these meal deals, especially Teswco's, is that out of every ten options nine are chicken.
Hi Neti I don't have anything with sweeteners in especially aspartame. Sorry, I'm telling a fib. The only thing I have is Halls mentholyptus sugar free sweets but only one now and again. I also tried diet bitter lemon a couple of times and that made me dizzy. After investigating, aspartame can make you dizzy and my sister said it had made her dizzy too, we both stopped drinking it. So it's water for me or a glass of Chablis now and again.

I've just heard from Steady and he tells me he's playing solo at a pub near where he lives at the weekend so I'm looking forward to that as I haven't seen him perform live solo.

I still haven't had my Baileys coffee yet, my phone hasn't stopped ringing so I'll say oight oight to you all get sorted. Sleep tight.
jno, i was tempted but i had a chocolate christmas tree pud and a hot chocolate with brandy in it and cream on top to get through (sorry neti) so i thought i wouldnt.
tomorrow the bottles get collected from the hpuses at the back of us. Rab hates the jingling noise, no idea why, so we are going to look at the sea. i have a picnic breakfast of heat in the can hot chocolate and biscuits, its quite fun.
i can't do aspartame either, it makes me feel sick and leaves a lingering taste in my mouth. actually all the artificial sweeteners do, even stevia. if i need to give up sugar then i drink my coffee and tea without it and stick to water.

I much prefer Diet Coke to The Real Thing, though I can't remember what sweetener it uses. Probably something lethal that also destroys the environment and enslaves women and children across the third world.
aspartame jno.
i have something else to moan about, one of my sinusses is playing up anf my head feels like its about to explode. have got up and taken paracetamol and done nastiness with sterimar, now just need to wait for the pain to go.....sigh.....
Good morning.

Ugh just had porridge with half fat milk and water and one small teaspoon of suger, I ate it but it was awful. I've always had it with single cream and syrup since I was a child cos I was so underweight, haha.

Am going to get some artificial sweetener, what should it have in it. I also dislike the aftertaste.
Morning all...we're in double figures here! the bad news is it's going to rain.

Chin up neti, you gotta do what you gotta do, you don't want the complications that full on diabetes can bring. My old neighbour found it a nuisance having to check everything when she was first diagnosed but she soon adapted and was diet controlled for years... she finally went on to injections but not until she was in her eighties.

woofy it's probably the change of air pressure, I think it's turned mild everywhere today. I hope mine don't start, I'm in enough other pain today. If I wake with painful sinuses they usually stay that way until tea time.

Well I see the Fairy fairies didn't do the pots that I didn't feel like doing last night so I'd better get busy...
..... it's gone very dark here, tut.
ps Pleased you're s-i-l's doing well shaney, hope she's home soon.
*your

D minus for me this morning
Good morning all, sinus much better today happily. Hope that you all feel well too. Neti cam you get powdered milk? if you add it to the low fat milk/water mix it makes it creamier without adding fat.
Can't advise about the sweetener because I can taste all of them.
Robi I just re read about the cat....lol, you would too.....

Stock taking day today, check that i have got all gifts sorted and made enough cards then write and package, big posting day tomorrow.
Good morning all. Sorry you're struggling Neti. I started to have porridge with semi skimmed every morning with chopped up apple and a few sultanas. Then some toast with flora or clover on. I loved jams and marmalades but after a while I just got used to it. To be honest I've got used to it now.
Robi, hope you're feeling better soon. And Jno how's your eyesight coming on. Better for you too I hope.
Pleased your SiL is on the mend Shaney.
And Woofy hope you're and you pets are ok too. I love m & s food. Especially their Chinese meals. Crispy duck most of all.
Off to make my morning cuppa now and still not had the one with the Baileys in. Laters 'gater's.
Sorry Woofy my grammar's rubbish this morning!
