opening photos
when I click on a photo in My Pictures it insists on opening in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 (I didn't even know I had this but I assume it came with Photoshop Elements 3). I'm given the option of opening in Windows Picture Viewer, which I want (quicker and less 'noisy' to look at), but have to do it every time. Where can I change the default to Picture Viewer? I've got Windows XP.

I rarely eat chocs these days 'cos they upset my IBS .The list of stuff I can't eat gets longer by the minute but my weight doesn't seem to go down ...lol.
Anyway ..have rescued tree and stuff from the loft .[i]Deck the hall with boughs of holly,: Fa la la la la la la la la[i]

Well make sure you do! We need our foreign correspondent.
Sitting up tonight, the wind (weather not flatulence) has just hit us and the dogs are restless so we are watching recorded TV. Its amazing how well the melatonin works. Other times they would have been quite panicky but tonight, while they are a bit worried and restless, they aren't upset or afraid as they would have been before.
We'll just sit up till the weather passes then catch up tomorrow.

I know what you mean about the wind, when I was a teacher the little 'uns were very restless and nervous when it was very windy.
Hope Robi is OK, I see jude had a good night, hope jno can se things a bit more clearer now, and shaney isn't aching.

Morning all...bright and very much calmer than yesterday, it was wild, the wind just got stronger as the day went on... it gave me an awful sinus headache but I finished my cards and got them posted. I've thrown a garland + lights round the hearth and a wreath thingy on a door (inside) but still haven't put my squatty little tree up.
Found a jar of Lidl luxury(!) mincemeat in the cupboard... can that happen? Lidl and[i luxury?....I vaguely remember winning it in a raffle last year. A luxury apartment would have been better but hey-ho. I might make some pies in the week. I said [i]might].

Bright and sunny .Bit windy but we didn't get the gales .Rain on the way though .Everything from my neck down is better than Accu at forecasting .Hope you're all ok though .
The deccies are still winking at me .At this rate they'll be up in time for next Christmas .
Lol...Neti .There have been times when I've had to stretch a wrinkly carrot and an oxo cube !
Not these days though although I cannot abide food waste and am an economical cook . Shades of Mother I expect who used everything up and could rustle up a meal from very little really .I tend to bulk cook sometimes and freeze .Habit left over from my days of cooking at the pub where we made huge pans of steak and kidney and mounds of pastry etc every week .
It's all ding dinners in some pubs these days .

a bit damp and blustery overnight but nothing to cow a brave spirit like mine. Looks like there's another band of rain on the way but it's somewhere round Exeter and it can wear itself out battering woofy before it gets to me. I am titivating phots on my computer, and it is hard work as my eyes will not work together at short distance. Roll on the next op and some new glasses (though I still have not heard from the hospital about following up the first one).
good afternoon all. Well that was a fun night. Weather died down about 2am so off to bed. At 3 am Dogs convinced there was something in the garden, rushed downstairs and were barking and growling at the door which is unheard of. I let them out and they really beat the garden up, didn't come back with torn off limbs or mouthfuls of clothing so I guess whatever it was wasn't human and could get over fences....back to bed till lunchtime.
They are back asleep again, sleeping the sleep of valiant defenders of the house.
I too am of the generation of roast sunday, cold monday, minced in a pie or stewed on tuesday wednesday and thursday were whatever was in the larder. Thursday night was payday shopping friday and saturday. Got to say i don't miss it and neither did my Mum and Dad when things got easier.

we went for a drive to San Jose which is a sweet little village somewhere on the island, it had it's xmas market, full of hippies with lots of healthy foods and breads and decoratons and clothes and anything and everything for sale. We strolled round but didn't buy anything, we had a beer at the local bar feeling thoroughly normal amongst the outlandish and colourful earth peopel! The we ate at our favourite restaurant, on our usual table next to the huge log fire, it's was lovely. Back home now for siestas.
