Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

.good day biddies, it is so hot here already. Did my usual coffee meeting but have to look for a new place as need shade and breeze. Bought a chair lilo for the pool but need someone to puff it up for me. Also with the aid of a walking stick to hook over the branches, I have hacked the algroba tree so Mr N can move rotary washing line to side patio so can get sombrilla up over the pool.
Hope you are all ok and surviving the dampness!!

Shaney, posted today, a bit bigger than last time so won't go through letter box.
A'noon all....well luckily it stopped raining 5 mins before I left for an eye test. They were running about 30 mins late, not so lucky. My eyes are still the same, two at the front, two at the back, it's a grandma thing, lol, chose some silvery half frames. Then it was off to part with a syringeful of the red stuff, no one in there for a change. That's enough excitement for one day.

Jude there must be a huge basket full of lost posts in here somewhere.

Round of applause for Gino.
Hope everyone's plumbing is working.
Question Author
Did Gino eventually turn up or has the plumbing got fed up with waiting and righted itself? ?
I can't believe how hot it is, I seem to forget every year!
Hello all. Sis safely on coach and we are all lying around enjoying the not wet, not thundery weather. Sorry to hear about your not post Jno. We had a lovely time here, watched all the TV coverage and criticised the clothes.
Don't mention SamCam and her bare shoulders....tut tut :)

Back to rain & thunder here.
Hello all
It's been a lovely day. No rain so far ( fingers and everything else crossed) and the garden work would be going along at a rate of knots ,if only they had delivered the shed when they said they would,so a child took me to Tescos and I spent a lotta dosh. It's a bit like Casey's court here atm.
Thank you Neti. The postman always knocks twice here:)
Three cheers for Gino.
Hope you're all ok.

Yes Robi even I, laid back fashion icon that I am, thought SamCam rather disrespectful with bare arms. Always a no no here.
have you see what brides wear to be married in church? and catholic church at that....also bare shoulders not allowed but skirts up to goodness knows where seem to be!
I did think that Summer Phillips could have looked in her mirror before she went out though...and I see that the Princess Royal got slated for wearing the same outfit more than once!
Where are we on the Queen’s trooping outfit? opinion divided here, Sis said no and I loved it.
Big no for the Trooping outfit, way too harsh. I know the queen has to be clearly visible but not necessarily from outer space.
I'm currently resplendent in my M&S pjs.
I think her Maj always looks nice but I wasn't keen on the neon green outfit.I suppose she has to wear bright colours though as being a small lady she needs to be seen by her subjects or she would fade into the background.I liked Princess Anne's outfit she wore to the service but someone really should have a word with Beatrice and Eugenie. Mind you I shouldn't criticise,I never look tidy.
Mmmm.. Fox's lemon mousse biscuits ..one is not enough:)
Night all.
yes, I think dress sense is the main reason biddies don't get invited to these royal events. But one doesn't look good in spurs.
lordy, it's tipping down here. I thought I saw an alligator out there but maybe it's just a pair of crocs left in the garden.
Morning...still raining although the met say there'll be a 4hr(!) respite between 11 and 3. If this turns out to be incorrect I will be suing.

I've no qualms about criticising the dress sense of Royals and people in positions who have any amount of access to advisers. I do wonder if their advisers dislike them though :) SC springs to mind.
No doubt they'll be criticising my grammar if they're looking in.

Do they still make lemon puffs? (That's the biscuits, not an eighties fashion style)
dood mording. I am starting a cold and Rab has hurt his shoulder yet again. Quiet day here.
Question Author
Good day biddies. I am wearing a Ralph Lauren gypsy top so I am OK its hija's.
I wasn't too fussed about the lime green either.
Woofy the Spanish brides here always cover their shoulders.
Question Author
Oh well Sir Cliff not to be prosecuted over sex claims as insufficient evidence!
Hello all
Nice atm but heavy showers earlier.Still no shed or timber for the fence.Deliveries must have ground to a halt due to football and Brexit :)
Fed up with all the stuff lumbered on the patio and stuff strewn everywhere. Can't hang any washing out and all my lemon mousse biscuits are gone.
Think I'll go and buy a fancy hat and pretend I'm someone important.I could wave to people from the upstairs window.
Hope you're all ok .
