Sorry Ed to post here, its naughty I know but I can't think of another way to do it. I love the new skin on the orangedog forum, but I can't get past the first page and that took 3 attempts to load. I tried the memberlist or click on a name link to people's email but can't open them either

If I don't tell you, you will think that you have been deserted....

Hello Shaney, I echo Woofy's words wholeheartedly.
If it helps at all my Mum had the same operation as you have described and went on to live a full life.(She was a piano teacher and she played for a Choir for 20 odd years and she had her operation during this time and continued after it playing all over Derbys and Notts.)
Take care xxxx
Evening biddies. So happy to see you about, Shaney, and I'm really glad you feel good about the doctors and nurses, it means so much not "just" psychologically but to actual recovery as well - no I'm not making that up:) Research says so.

I spotted some interesting green stuff at the deli and it turned out to be purslane, which I've heard about but never tasted. Think I'll try it with halloumi and moghrabieh, the latter being Lebanese couscous which is bigger than... erm, than smaller couscous. We had it at that brilliant restaurant on the archipelago island earlier this summer. Oh yummy now I'm hungry.

Kit yes, she smells like horses, I guess it must be the diet. your couscous comment made me laugh. I thought that they used to eat purslane in the time of the first queen Elizabeth but can't find a reference....oh no here's one....

Good morning all, just nipping inbefore my (very ) busy day starts. I am forever running folk hither and thither, esp daughter to work as yesterday she came home at 7am so defo was not having the car so I had to drive her to work, my god, the amount of traffic was horrendous, then visited mum's grave and put some more flowers there. Sister and family are all at odds, there's one who is here just to help look after bro-in-law cos he's a bit disabled and she's telling off the 8yr old granddaughter who seems to be behaving Ok to my mind ! so she's now sulking, the son-in-law is permanently pie-eyed, so sissy and granddaughter escaped to my villa where we had a huge amount of fun in the pool, I had to get out as there isn';t enough room for 3!!

shaney and woofy, keep thinking positively and your menfolk will be fine. Wish I could wave a magic wand! (or broomstick in my case I suspect!)

Off walking to hotel today as hija has the car. Rather overcast here!
we had just the one apple - there were lots but I think late frost must have got them - now the squirrel's got the last one. I should have poisoned it like the wicked witch in Snow White. So obviously I'm hoping everyone and their families is in better shape than my apple tree.

be back later to catch up...
This is my third attempt today to try and post. This is a test run................. grrrrrr
Telephone and broadband are playing up yet again. BT keep arriving on the road outside and scratching their bloomin heads and then going away again. Suppose it's our fault living out here in the sticks. The telephone lines below ground keep flooding, as they have for the past 30+ years and the telephone lines about (don't understand why we have both) seem to be in trouble too.

Let's see if this now posts.
Hoo-bloody-ray.

Thinking of you Shaney today. As you know, my grandad had a colostomy at 72 and lived with a stoma for the rest of his very long life (cancer didn't come back). Sending much love to you and best wishes to Mr S. Keep otimistic - know just how you are feeling and sending loads of cyber hugs. Love yer!!

In fact I love you all, but obviously Shaney and I are quite close now as we have met up quite often.

Before I lived in Norfolk I would have said

"Let's see if this posts now"!!!!!
Afternoon biddies, I have a question for you. What term would you use to google for alternative takes on basically the same pattern if the pattern you have is for double pointed needles but you wanted the same pattern but you wanted to use "ordinary" needles instead of double pointed ones? Now, I know it isn't rocket science to transpose it yourself but sometimes it can be a bit messy so why not check first to see if somebody else has already taken the trouble. I've used the phrases "straight needles" and "regular needles" but not been very successful with those.

Vinny Jude is Our Man In Havana. We've sent her down to keep an eye on you. You know. Confiscate your catnip, that kind of thing. He he. (If you don't believe me, read her post of yesterday 09.35:)

Think I have to go lie down now, after reading your post Neti - WHEN DO THEY LEAVE? ;-) We have a saying (I'm not sure if you have it too?) that fish and guests stink on the third day ha ha ha.
A'noon,
I don't know about your broadband Lottie but this site seems very slow to me, took ages for the pages to turn.
I think I'm up to speed now, I've been making the most of the weather... <whispers> it's been behaving, yesterday afternoon turned out to be glorious....think we've got showers heading this way though, it's as black as yer 'at.

That sounds like hopeful news to me shaney, I hope Mr S is staying positive & not too daunted by the thought of it.
Hope Mr woofy's doing well too. You two will need a holiday by the time you're done sorting them out!

Ok, you want to know don't you? My dream!...well the only bit I can remember is finding a large nest with two blue duck sized eggs. Next day I went back to find them hatching...out popped a pair of hedgehogs complete with prickles, haha.
eek! It's rain B movie stylie!
My dreams last night were horrific. They involved gangsters and they came and got me and Mr LL. The leader was called Charlie and he had a horrible scarred face. We were staying in a little stone building (much like an air raid shelter) on the beach at a holiday camp in Skegness and I was trying to get my washing done and pack my cases to escape. Lots more goings on too. I woke up feeling exhausted and with a horrible headache.
Rain free here so far Robi. I have been washing throws and cushion covers in a last ditch attempt to get rid of nasty little critters. I have flea treated the whole house, flea treated both animals (yet again_ and I still getting bitten. Am beginning to wonder if it is fleas - I haven't actually seen any jumping around!
