Sorry Ed to post here, its naughty I know but I can't think of another way to do it. I love the new skin on the orangedog forum, but I can't get past the first page and that took 3 attempts to load. I tried the memberlist or click on a name link to people's email but can't open them either

Afternoon bidsters and hippies and ga gas. Going out to buy a woollen shawl today, seems a strange project in what is still very much summer but I have a couple of the same kind already and asked to be notified when they arrive in new colours. Don't know the right words to describe them, the yarn is very thin and the weave is very light and they're ever so slightly - get this - elastic, lots of "rubber bands" worked into them. They're sort of sturdy and flimsy at the same time.

I wore one of mine every day last autumn and winter and the other one I took to sleeping with (!) after my fall when I had the huge haematoma at the back of my head. At the time I used the shawl to make a ring to rest my head on and later I discovered it's an excellent, mouldable complement to a pillow no matter how I sleep, it supports my big ole 'ead. BTW Swedish newspapers have been saying that one third of you lot sleep with a teddy bear. So who are you, own up! I'm sure jno has an Eeyore he he he. (I like Eeyore:)

Wasn't Peter Ustinov brilliant Robi. I actually miss him, I mean not just when I happen to stumble across his work but I actually find myself thinking about him from time to time, for instance when I try to impersonate somebody and fail miserably, I think of how brilliant he was. I loved what he said in your clip about schools - that they are there "to teach you to learn".

Neti I couldn't do a third of what you've been doing lately. Poor old Neti, you really need a... http://i35.tinypic.com/x5cjlj.jpg
They don't make 'em like him anymore Kit, well maybe they do but we don't get to see and hear them. I could listen to him for hours.

I went through a phase of having low sugar at night & had to have a swift bowl of cereal, it's a horrible feeling. S'pose it'll be something to add to the list for the next doc visit, I've never been borderline diabetic up to now but things change.

Well Tarquin seems to be enjoying his tour of every distillery in the Scottish highlands and islands...here's here at the moment (Portree on the Isle of Skye)

The shitehawks were his alarm call this morning :o)
it's all right, I have a lovely lunch out. Met family (the sober lot) and had coffee and then went for a walk ( long long long) and they invited me to have lunch at the end, well I was going to anyway, had a couple of glasses of wine, it's pouring down here and I've jsut made putanesca fpor Mr N when he arrives home. Am off to bed for a siesta! x
Sorry Robi, we posted at the same time, I'm borderline diabetic and next test is in Oct when I've been to England, so will be well over the borderline by then!
I moved my teddies out when I revamped my boudoir last yr & didn't put them back so they're suffocating in a plastic back at the moment...I sleep with my hot bunny on achey/cold nights.
bloomin heck, you don't see a neti for a while & then two (or should I say four?) come along at once :o)
Robinia, could job you did not put that thread about your 'hot bunny' on CB!!
haha, oh yes Lottie, I'd never hear the last of it...
Glad you understood 'could job'. I despair of myself - I think one word and type another - well it rhymed anyway!!

Just been for a walk almost round the circumferance of the original old town of Fakenham. Am now tired out, but the dog isn't. Had to call in and beg a glass of water from a friend half way round!! I must be mad. I could have been lounging on the sofa!!

(Came back and ate two fruit scones!!) Naughty but very nice!!
Evening, here I am with yet another shawl:) If shawl is the right word - it's this kind of thing http://i37.tinypic.com/2v93pkn.jpg

Just had a yummy omelette. Never thought I'd hear myself say those words - I can't stand eggs but I believe they're good for you and especially me as a vegetarian so ♪♪ I've tried and I've tried and I've tried ♫ It was my hairdresser who solved it for me, she's travelled a lot in Morocco and she said they use (ground) cumin in omelettes there. I just knew I'd like it and I do - butter and cumin in the frying pan while I beat the eggs, add some salt and a spoonful of cream and that's it. I'm an egg eater, I'm an egg eater! Thank you Morocco.

Really beautiful piccies Robinia. Oh to be young and strong and wake up to that.

Had a good laugh at your joke on the management thread in P&S Woofy and furthermore it will help me remember how 'aisle' is pronounced. Do you have a similar one for 'aunt' cos I'm never sure about that one either. (Yes I AM having trouble with one-syllable words ha ha. Ain't it weird how you never learn some things?)
Hi folks
Hope you're all OK.Nothing to report from Shaneytowers .Just waiting around doing mundane day to day things and trying to keep cheerful . If the wind changes direction I'll end up with a false smile on my face :))

You'll never believe this but I've just spent an hour writing and copying photos etc to you and it was too long and when I was sorting that out which I usually can I Feckin'

Please excuse the bad lanaguage
Goodnight All ~sleep tight. xx
...and then some! http://i33.tinypic.com/dndo9y.jpg Oh Jude I know that feeling!

Shaney could you find it in your heart to answer another one about Luther? There was a break for a couple of weeks and I never noticed when they started running it again. Why did this Ian Reed person - Luther's colleague - kill Zoe? What was the link between Zoe and Reed? (Anyone can answer of course, it's just that my money is on Shaney:)
Well I think that was episode 5 Kit .There was art dealers wife taken hostage and the kidnappers want the ransom in diamonds .So to stall them Luther uses some diamonds from the evidence locker .Reed double crosses him ,steals the diamonds . Luther finds out and is gunning for him ..
Reed is now in deep doo doo so he goes to see Zoe and tries to get her to talk to Luther and explain why he stole them . He sees them as way of getting out of the police and all his debts etc ,plus the fact he's corrupt anyway .

By this time Reed is really under pressure and has a gun ,he's waving it about and threatens to shoot himself .Zoe grapples with him to get the gun off him and he ends up shooting her accidentally. Reed hops it and a bit later Luther arrives to find her dead.they think he did it so he's now on the run .......
And then it's episode six ..but I won't spoil it for you :)

Oh and I Googled for you re knitting .Can't find anything except that these needles are referred to as Dpns ( double pointed needles) and all I could find was convertiersion to a circular needle which is basically the same as Dpns !

Aaaw Jude ,what a pain . Never mind ,hopefully we can see them tomorrow .Hope you had a lovely day out ..
Goodnight chookies ,sleep well .
Unbelievable... I couldn't recap that well something I'd seen yesterday even... let alone remember which episode it was! Cos yes it was episode 5, episode 6 was tonight, where Alice shot Reed. Oh I hope we'll get to see Kingdom as well, but they ought to have bought it already so probably not:( Thanks Shaney!
