Dos anyone know where I can get this mail order please, my usual supplier doesn't seem to have any?
Just to be clear, I am not interested in alternates unless they are also a version of Canadian Club, or (and I mean this nicely) opinions on my taste in alcohol.

Many thanks

I got a letter today to say that my savings account (well its not, its just where I keep the cash stash) has gone up from 0.1 to 0.25% so that's nice I think
hmm, well, we've just requested and got 5%, that's with a bog-standard Lloyds Easysaver. 3% introductory rate, 2% normal rate. Maybe you could nag your bank a bit? We are longstanding customers but not big ones; most of our money is in Mongolian cruise ship futures and suchlike.

Next month: annual phone call to the AA to threaten to leave and join the RAC.
It's been clear and sunny, lovely in the front room but bitterly cold out. It took me until about 12 to get the house and myself warm. I've only been as far as the bird feeders. Not done much either, just odds and ends in fits and starts in between browsing handbags and scarves...funny how these links keep landing in my inbox. :)

I've got a charming Nigerian Prince to take care of my bank account.
Had a lovely curry lunch with lady friends in a new Indian restaurant, but just wanted to fall asleep when I got home, but instead I made liver, onions etc mash, peas and carrots for Mr N's dinner (it'll ding when he's ready) and an apple and blackurrant pie and an apricot one for me. Accu says 14º here but real feel -14º so we think, everyone is freezing although the sun is out.
It's been lovely here too but soooo cold .Accu said snow but we didn't get any.
I've done nothing of interest ,looked through some knitting patterns .So many odd balls of wool and no idea what to knit.
Got bored with that,so watched Mr Selfridge on catch up and checked the savings under my mattress. It took ages .. I couldn't find any lol.
Scarves and handbags Robinia .Sit on your hands at once :)
Haven't started watching Mr Selfridge yet, have recorded the first two, but there has been so much on the same night. I've given up on Broadchurch.

I have given up on Broadchurch too. Its just too sad. I am saving Mr Selfridge till Sis comes as she has no way of recording and wanted to watch Last Tango.
JNo, I had my easysaver intro many years ago :(
Tis so cold tonight....maybe chocolate would help
us too, woofy, but we went in and asked to have the higher rate back and they said yes. In fact it appears you always get it back without a fuss, you only have to ask. Same as the special AA discount. Nobody even puts up a fight when you ask for a better deal these days, they just rely on people never asking.
fame at last... I have found Toyah Willcox on my family tree!
Good morning all!

Toyah on your family tree jno? well give it a good shaking and she'll fall out.

Damp and chilly here (well I say chilly, you lot would probably think it's midsummer, it's 9º, so a lot cooler than the 14º we had yesterday. It's about time we had a winter.

I was so lazy yesterday, just lunched and cooked for Mr N and nothing else, feel like doing things today, will meet gbf for coffee as he's getting sulky!

I do get fed up with wondering what to cook every day!!

oh dear, here we go agian, repeating myself, must be old age!!!
takes me back to the stereo of my youth...
Sitting st a pavement cafe dressed as eskimos, it is so cold and going to be colder for the next few fays!
have you thought of going inside??
ah jno, no only wimps and tourist go inside.

We've had hailstones and snow forecast for Friday, Mr N rushed home just as I was loading the rubbish into the car, then the heavens opened so I didn't go anywhere. He's just made a delicious veg soup with a crustry baquette.

My renewed driving licence has just been delivered, it's for another 5 yrs, I must have been good ! :-)
Hello all
Nice and sunny atm, a few sleety bits earlier.
Nothing doing here ,too cold to move .Hope you're all ok .
That's interesting Jno ..a punk rocker relative .
I know the feeling Neti .
I get fed up with cooking and wondering what to cook .Todays offering is the left over beef casserole in a pie ( bought pastry) ,mash(frozen) and peas(frozen).Instant gravy....Oooh it's all haute cuisine here:)
We are on a storm warning and snow forewarned for Friday, it is now 5º and accu says real feel -6º, and it jolly well is!!

Hija's room is leaking like a sieve again, it's a flat roof, that's the trouble! I have removed everything electrical so will not get wet covered it in plastic! grr!

I have made a beef stew and added the remnants of the soup, all very warming on such a day. Two cranes have blown over and broken onto the road, so we are staying in, although we may drown. Fed up with hearing drip drip!! Stiull we are nice and warm in the front room which have a ointy roof if you know my architectural meaning!!
OOoh frozen mash shaney? you really are decadent, never heard of it, although I have used frozen chopped onion today because we saw it in shop last week and I thought it would be easier, oh yes and also frozen cauliflour and brocolli florets, which are very tasty! Oh dear what happened to my stepford wife image!!!!
pointy roof not ointy!! as if there were such a thing!!
