I really really fancy a steak & kidney pie. What's the next best thing to home made? Plenty of excuses for not doing my own at the moment! (individual please, not family size....so sad).

Yes Lottie, maybe so, but who drove her to it? Terrible manipulation of a young woman by the 'system'...she wasn't right for him nor vice versa.

what did your last slave die of neti?
You are right Robbie, they weren't right for each other, but I just couldn't understand the adulation she got. They were both victims really. He by birth and expectations and she by the fact she was too young and her fairy tale expectations were too high. She ended up being a very manipulative woman (and a trollop!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> )
Thanks just how I drink my tea Neti, (without the addition of extra water 'cos I like it strong). So I'll join you. Hurry up Robinia - haven't got all day.

<throws old dishcloth in the kettle & boils it up....I'll teach the cheeky boogers>

ready!
Ooh have just woken up, and am having my cuppa! I didn't much like Diana, thought she was very sly by the look of her eyes, but I did like her just before the end So what about fergie, was she manipulated or just a fool? (I think she was trollop )
Oh and another thing, that Kate person has move in with William so how is she gonna pass the virgin test before the wedding?
Hi all, just got back home from a lovely day out in Youlgrave. It was Well Dressing. My 2 sisters knew people there and one was presented with the OBE this last time and was having an open house. (Not my sister but her friend) My other sister knew a lady who, every well dressing and bank holiday, has an open house where she, with her 2 sisters serve refreshments all day. All home made cakes and all sorts of drinks served up in the old fashioned way with cake forks and lovely serviettes and lace doylies. The garden looks right over the valley and with it being such a beautiful day it was glorious just to sit there and chat. There is an 'honesty' box and you put in any amount for what you have.
They have collected £12000 in the last 4 years for charities.

Hope you've all had a good day too, Well done to Mr Woofy hope he keeps on the mend and is better soon.

I really liked Diana and was sad when she died but I agree they were never suited and
she had greater expectations of the marriage and him. To me he is a 'cold fish', well he seemed to be with her.

Off to read the Sunday Paper now ~ didn't have time this morning.
Jude, I think Charles was always in love with Camilla and personally I'm pleased he has found happiness with her. He tried to please his family by marrying Diana - silly man. Don't think he's a cold fish though - far from it.

Diana was very attractive but very little going on in the brains department and actually Charles is a very intelligent bloke. He and Camilla are well suited.
ATTENTION SWEDIE

I need some help (well not me personally but someone I know). I am sending you an email.
Evening, this is your royal reporter from way way waaaay oop north. And here are the two most unbelievable dresses from yesterday. The ladies shall remain mercifully nameless.

When asked how she'd chosen her dress, this woman replied "I have a girl that's very good at this sort of thing, and I trust my gut instinct". Er well yes, I trust my guts too but I don't use them for tie-dye http://i47.tinypic.com/2gub091.jpg

"Now let's see, god made me short but he didn't make it look like I'm walking on my knees, so is there a way I can have my dress cut to make it look like that? Yay, found one!" http://i45.tinypic.com/2cxvtrl.jpg

And while I'm at it, I honestly believe Diana had a personality disorder - narcissism, not just the way we use that word a bit recklessly, but I believe she really suffered from it, big time. (That doesn't mean Charles is okay!)

So... anyone else I can *** off before I have my tea? Shaney's tiara perhaps;-) Nah I'll just play a song with a Danish girl and shut up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cLK6j5YqkU

*stands to attention awaiting Lottie's email* (must be my fashion advice that's needed I expect;-)
Email now sent!!
Oh blimey Kit, those awful dresses! You would think that someone would advise them.

I've always liked Charles, and yes I think he should have stayed with Camilla from the start, but apparently when she gave him the ultimatum of marrying her or buggering off he buggered off so she married Parker-Bowles. She was a good-time girl in her day! I think Charles had a very unusual (to us) upbringing and he would not even have thought of going against his parents wishes in the old days.

I wore my new between the toes sandals today, by 'eck they take some getting used too, haven't worn flipflops since the 70's and now I know why!

For all the biddies who didn't know that thonged sandals were called thong sandals!
I never doubted you for a moment Neti. Until... http://i47.tinypic.com/vyoc3r.jpg
Ha ha Kit, that is funny!

Morning all, hope everyone is feeling Ok, spouses included!
Morning Everybiddy. Keep well and have a good day. Don't know what I'm going to do today. Maybe have a trip into town to see what Per Una are offering. I'm getting back into buying tops. Then again I suppose I could clean my car. The weather looks promising and it's a lovely morning. Then maybe a walk who knows which way the mood will take me.
My new table is still propped up against the wall waiting to be put together. I daren't try to do it myself as I'm useless at doing things like that. I couldn't even put my chairs together.
Anyway whatever you are doing have a good one.

See yer later 'gater(s) x

Lovely morning

ATTENTION SWEEDIE!
haha, I don't want you for anything I just wanted to wake you up.

Oh dear, the 'short' dress made me squeal, it's hilarious, I'm going to send that one to my sister & tell her if I should ever marry again she'll have to wear that, hahaha.....but...erm...can I say this? I quite like rainbow tie-dye fabric BUT not that dress, especially not at a royal wedding, deary me nooooo. It's more, erm, walking along a beach on Ibiza style :o)

And neti we don't need educating about thongs thanks all the same we're quite down with it/up there with it/wa'eva...I'm even into Plan B* at the moment, how cool a grandma am I eh?
*No, it's not a slimming regime he's a singer...(new single is Prayin...it ain't no love song but the music is amazing)
Well I was in Australia many of the restaurants and more upmarket bars had signs on the door 'No thongs or trainers'. This was ten years ago and I honestly thought that they meant the knicker sort of thongs!!

P.S. Neti thinks we are behind the times here in England (well Norfolk is actually). I still call them toe post sandals and I find them more comfortable than anything else. Birkenstock + toe post = ideal to me.

Sorry Swedie, I meant to say that that 'short/long' drerss made me LOL as well. The tie dyed one is lovely but as Robbie says, more in keeping with Ibiza beaches. (I have been known to go to a wedding in velvet dungarees and a silk shirt with blouson sleeves) However, that was in the early eightees before I developed lumps and bumps in all the wrong places!! (I was a rebel!!)

Beautiful day here. I have loads of shopping to do, some errands to run and then back home to the garden.

Have a nice day folks.
Well I was in Australia! Meant 'When'!!
