London Museum

I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

Sunny and chilly here, am staying in bed. Advice please, obviously the chest is on the bed although am still hacking away but not so rattly. I still appear to have a cold, my ears are blocked and have sniffles,so is it Ok to take asiprin or cold and flu tablets the same time as the antis? Can't stand feeling so floppy anymore, I want to get some energy back.

Morning all...bright and ever so slightly milder until the icy blast hits us mid week.
Neti it's ok to take paracetamol/aspirin with anti biotics but don't take cold remedies as well as pain relief pills, they usually have paracetamol in them and therefore you'd be overdosing. I'd prefer para's to aspirin, easier on the tum and they bring down your temperature if you have one. Be careful...and drink plenty of fluids. Hope you feel stronger very soon, it's so debilitating. x
Thanks for all the good wishes, for me it's been a low year and it's lovely to round it up with some good news. I won't be boring you with baby talk and wafting scan pictures at you but now you know why I chose the avatar, I think it might be the year of the teddy..me and sis spent ages cuddling them in toysrus last weekend. :)

Good morning all. Congratulations Robi. Really happy for you. I didn't ignore your post - it just wasn't there when I sent my last post.
I would love Steady to have some children, but I doubt it will happen now though.
Yes a brighter day today and I saw my first blackbird this winter in my garden. I've not had any birds for ages only pigeons and cats. I know cats are free spirits but sometimes I wish they'd let the birds come in my garden.
I'm off to see Derby play Leeds today - so please wish us luck.
Neti, Robi's advice sounds good to me. Get well soon girl party time is on it's way and I know how you love them.
Hope you all have a good weekend and that you keep warm and cosy!
Laters 'gaters!

Just read through my post and it's amazing that you understood any of it. Chest is on the mend not bed! haha.
I must be feeling better as I am now itching to get well and start cleaning!
Yes Robi, glad the news has bucked you up, just wait til they dump the baby on you for a night, up and down up and down, don't think I could do it anymore although apparently my grandchildren are still to come!! At this rate hija will be pushing me and the baby at the same time!

Neti you definitely sound a bit more cheerful I hope that's the trend and you're set for the Parties. I have no idea what I'm doing. I just know I've done all the shopping I'm going to do and I have a couple of christmas meals to go to before the Day. One is with my Tai chi friends and the other with The Sainsbury friends. One is tomorrow and the other a week on Tuesday. Right that's it for now. Really am off.. laters 'gaters
Neti REST! Another vote for paracetamol and nothing additional apart from the antibi's but with plenty of hot drinks. I favour hot lemon and honey maybe with a little ginger grated in.
Robi I expect to be inundated with scans, photos......everything. What breed of apple tree was it? Apple trees are powerful magic!
No kids, therefore no grandkids but i do have great nieces...we are in touch via FB as they live abroad with mum (niece) and her lovely husband. Going to a local village lights switch on today with primary school lantern parade and market. Hope it doesn't rain. They have rented a snow machine!!!!
I hat to cut down the tree my bird feeders were in as its very near the house so i bought a feeding stand which arrived yesterday....hopefully its high enough to keep the suet blocks away from the dogs.

Hello jude and woofy and yes I do feel very much better. In fact have tidied up my bedroom, put away all the flung off clothes and binned loads of rubbish. Must admit I could hardly breathe for a min after, then had a hot bath and breathed in the steam, still have limited or no sense of smell which I am quite enjoying. Have now put a couple of pairs of my pjs and knickers in the wash, yes, yes, will stop once I have hung them out. But it's good to feel a tad better.
Yes I want to see all the scan photos, not that I can ever make sense of them, others say they can see the face etc when all I can ever see is a blob. I want doctors reports, blood test results etc.
Doubt they'll be much partying going on here jude, it's a miserable little village at xmas.

My mate and I just went to a local village light switch on and christmas fair. It was lovely. There was Father Christmas, a living Nativity tableau, jugglers and acrobats, snow machines, a children's parade and a decorated fire engine. We shopped a bit, cheered Santa and had hot chocolate with cream and a flake and sticks of toasted marshmallows. It was busy and bustling but still small with a lovely villagey atmosphere. Might go to town and shop tomorrow or might just hit the internet......
