I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

Have to admit I'm looking forward to it now .I do like Christmas .I just don't like all the hype that's shoved down our throats starting when it's still summer !
Will put the tree up next weekend and settle in for a bit of twinklyness and sparkle .
Oight Oight lovelies ..sleep toight .

Oh.. and behave yourself Neti ....take it easy, get Mr N. to rub your chest with Vick :) xx

Sigh... ..I'm beginning to repeat myself .
I told my brother off the other day for repeating himself and I'm now doing the same ..hahaha
Morning all. Your day sounded lovely Woofy. I still haven't been to a Christmas fair or carol concert yet this year or even seen Derby's Christmas lights. Other things occupying my mind! (hospital appointments - of course). Haven't got to go until Wed and Thurs this week. Yippee!
Off out tonight to meet up with old friends from Sainsburys. Going to wear a dress would you believe!!
Have a good day all my friends. Thank you so much for your friendship over the years. xx
Morning all
I have an announcement!
oops, sorry, I thought after reading shaney's posts we were doing a weekend omnibus....hahaha.

Bloomin grey and miserable here...it got really wild in the night, woke me at 3am and I couldn't get back to sleep. I ache like hell today.

That's sound lovely and festive woofy, I haven't been to anything xmas villagey for years...it always seems to happen at the coldest time of the year unfortunately :)...btw, I forgot to say I like your cheerful chandelier. If I ever get round to revamping my kitchen/dining area I'd like a mixture of random colours.

Have a good time Jude - What's with the "Thank you so much for your friendship over the years. xx"....I hope you're not planning on leaving?! I've stopped all the baby chat for now, haha.
(Come out too Lottie :))
Morning jude, morning biddies!

Still not too chipper and I thought I would be! Sunny but cold. Am still in bed. Cough still terrible but not too often. Mr N is cooking a leg of lamb today not that i can taste much yet.

Just chatting to hija, she's fine but still has a cough too. I have to go back to doctor on Wed or before if I feel ill!

Hope you are all Ok and enjoying a quiet Sunday. Am worrying now cos I want the tree and decs up although (and I am repeating myself here knowingly) it is too early for me. Usually about the 15th of Dec.

Ibiza has an outside skating rink, and it is made of plastic, not ice at all, as the ice melts. Will have to go and see that too when I get better.

Neti, stop worrying and concentrate on getting your strength back...by resting! I remember having the flu, '96 or 97'. I went down with it on the 1st Dec and it was the 21st before I was properly up and out. Do you know what? Everything that needed to be done I still managed to do in those 3 days...and by shopping last minute I got some bargains.
won't be any last minute bargains here, they up the price, it's a b of a greedy place ! I wanted us to sell up and leave this year as Mr N's golf subscription has ended (and to buy a useless share now is honestly about £30,000) ridiculous=, but they have made a special price for him and he doesn't have to buy anything just pay a yearly fee, cos he is very popular there and knows all the rules, no one else does! so although I am happy for him, I am fed up with being stuck here.

I fully intend to be up and about this week, will start with a gently trot on Tuesday, as have to wait for my big bix to arrive. I washed up this morning by hand as poor Mr N is inundated with it all and the kitchen is very small. I hope we can keep this closeness that we have atm.
Well I hope you stay loved up too neti...just don't go eating any apples.
:)
btw, I did not mean that I was intending to go iceskating, haha the very thought, at least I couldn't crack the plastic!
Good morning all, must have picked up a bug from somewhere, spent a good amount of last night trotting to the loo. I can throw this stuff off in a day or so but the day or so is pretty horrid.
laters all.
Oh poor woofy, just as well I am not living with you now isn't it? You take care and keep warm! x
Old women should not gallivant, I am proof of that! so we will all sit quietly by out hearths and rock in chairs and knit! That should keep us all out of danger!
oh dear, not another poorly biddy...hope you feel better soon woofy. If you're anything like me though your insides just decide to rebel for no apparent reason. I must admit I'm a bit paranoid about crowded places, especially at this time of year.

I've been up for a couple of hours as Mr N lighted the fire and I was cold. He made a lovely dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed the roast lamb etc and I could even taste it. Still laying here on the settee.
