This is their third year and I have lots of fruit already but they don't seem to be putting out any runners this year for me to pot on .They are not in the ground but in a strawberry pot and various other containers .Are they past their sell by date and shall I chuck them once finished fruiting and get new for next year ? I have had a few ripe fruits already and they taste OK !

Morning all ..don't know what happened to my post last night ..it disappeared into the ether. Lovely weather here hope you are all having it as nice as we are .
If it's not one thing it's another at Shaneytowers .My sis in law is in hospital now .She had a heart attack a couple of years ago and as a girl had TB which has scarred her lungs . She's been coughing up blood . They've had a look round but can't find anything untoward but are muttering about giving her a bypass. So I've been mooching around back and forth to my brother again which is a a logistical nightmare .
He actually had to get on a bus (I insisted) and he was very grumpy !
Apart from my toaster blowing up and my hairdryer dying on me things are fine . So I traipsed around yesterday to get new ones. I now have a toaster with bells and whistles which does everything bar butter the bread but I'm not too sure about the new hairdryer

good a'noon...I'm so sorry about your sister-in-law shaney I hope they sort her out asap...all this worry & traipsing around can be draining. I don't know what we've all done in here lately to have all these trials & troubles...oh yes, I do know, we got older, it comes with the territory. I love the wall game Kit...just like my life at the moment, hahaha.

Hi All Just listening to Chrispian while I'm writing this Robi it takes me back.
I try not to read about illnesses on here cos I get myself all scared. I hope your s-in-l gets well soon Shaney There's always something isn't there starting with health, then houses, then cars. My car has just cost me �225 to repair a window motor. I was looking for a new one but I've changed my mind now and am going to hang on to this one for a while.
Right then I'm off to get something to eat then going to listen to The Rams match.

Earlier tonight I was talking to a neighbour who's just a few years younger than me and he was saying clothes are no fun anymore: Before, when he wore old geezer's shirts and flat caps, everyone knew he was making a fashion statement with an ironic twist to it but nowadays when he dresses the same way, all people can see is an old geezer wearing old geezer's clothes... I know what he means...!

hello all, Shaney I hope your sis in law is mending...we seem to be living in scarey times at present. This was posted on a craft forum i visit and thought it might go well with the strawberries and cream and cheer us up....hope we've all got microwaves?
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1 000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous). And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
