Just popping in to say hello, blasted ceiling fan in Bedroom is making a terrific noise so had better not use it! I've told Mr N who is watching Tv in the front room! Very sticky without it and I do not like using the air con all day!

Hello all. We soldier on here. DH is stable on a drip and sips of water only. He has seen the surgeon who wants to wait till they have their specialist meeting on tues to decide how to operate. He is keeping positive and so am I. It's good that they are going to operate and that they feel it's not urgent. I a m going to see him this afternoon then can gone very day while Sis is here. May not be around a lot. Stay well everyone I will be thinking of you all. X

I'm just relaxing today except for one particular job and that's watering my neighour's plants. She hates gardening but in her back garden she has these (don't know what they are called) covered zip-uppable greenhouse things in which she is growing all sorts, toms, strawberries, peppers etc. and they are thriving. She is away til thursday so that's my evening job.
Shaney I'm now in the middle of the Skeleton and I have to brag I seem to be doing alright at the mo. Only have 8 more clues to solve. It wouldn't surprise me if you have finished it. You're brainier than me. You have to really thnk laterally with this compiler don't you? I wonder if it is man or woman!

Feel better today and that bicarb is good .I thought we may have had to put a revolving door on the lav yesterday .
Not a bad day here so far .Sun in ,sun out but quite warm .
Oh and PS to answer your Q Neti ..Mr S has to pee very frequently .The catheter controls his bladder and when he gets the urge he has to dash :).Hence we can't really go far for any length of time .

We tried a veg paella and although nice not the same as a real one!
I vote Woofy's sister to be the official BiddyMatron, comes to sort us all out when we need her!

Morning all. Neti sorry to hear your news. Shaney I hope your plumbing is settling, it's horrid, makes you feel rough. Cautious optimism here although no hard news till tomorrow. Visited yesterday and he is feeling better not eating although of course that can only go for so long. The doc he saw is sure they can do something, the question is what the best option will be.

My friend was an entrepreneur (sp) he started lots of popular pubs and clubs here in the 70's, then again in Florida then back to mainland Spain, he had finally settled down with a lovely down to earth girl after all the flibberty gibberts he courted (he was after me in the 70's! tut). He was 71 last Friday. He was arrested for drinkdriving DUI in America and shared an overnight cell with a murderer, which frit him somewhat! At least he'd had a good life. He owned the British Pub in Disneyworld Florida.

Neti you stir a small level teaspoon of bicarbonate into a glass (medium) of Luke warm water and drink it. I have to do it a little at a time as it tastes quite strange. It changes the ph of the wee and makes it less hospitable for the bugs. You basically drink about a glass an hour iirc......can't remember what I told shaney as it's a while ago and touching wood I haven't needed it for ages.....you might google and see what it says?
