Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

I think its the weather causing my bad dreams. I have had a stonker of a weather headache all day. Have finally given in and taken migralieve.
You have my sympathies woofy, I'm fed up of headaches this year. On the days I don't have one I'm left with space where my brain should be.

I have stayed in ALL DAY to get delivery of my iron only to be emailed at 5.30 to say I wasn't in to receive it at 4.15!! I am speechless. Also have a headache as its very close and overcast and I haven't been out. I am so so cross. Heads will role.
On the plus side Mr N is bring home curries for dinner.
Evening all. Well that's Tai Chi And school done this week. School was brilliant the teacher of the year 1 class tells me he is taking the children to year 2 so they are having him for another year and as today was the last day for me they gave me a card signed by all the pupils and a box of chocolates then the teacher asked me if I would join their team and move up to their 2nd year with them. I was over the moon as I've really got to know them all.
Very pleased about your leg Shaney. It's been a long time hasn't it. I'm back at the Derby Royal with my wrist tomorrow. Not going to go on about it.
Talking about stair lifts Robi I'm determined no matter how bad my legs get I'm always sleeping in my bed and so I've saved some money on one side for a stair lift if necessary. Thanks too for your good wishes.
Mastermind is on at 8 so my tv programmes are getting back to normal. I'm listening to folk music on the radio until 8 then it'll be MM. Shaney on Monday it was UC and I managed to get 1 question right.
It's just starting. See ya later and have a good night everybiddy.

Thats lovely jude, that they want you to go up with them, what a nice little family feel.
Curries were lovely. I always make mine last for 2 days, as they are big portions.
Weather been very strange today. Tomorrow Mr N is taking me to the parcel depot, I could drive myself there but he's happy to do it and we'll have brekkie on the way. My life revolves around food now.
Jude that’s so lovely :) Headache finally gone and yes I am left with a hollow skull. Dogs are flaked out so I am guessing weather is well and truly gone....good job as I have got gas service tomorrow.
that's lovely, Jude

and good luck with the stairlift

That's really nice Jude. They obviously appreciate you very much.
I didn't do well on UC either. I got a few and knew the picture round about the tube lines. As for Only Connect I only got one right .I'm useless at connecting but do alright on the missing vowels .I'm glad quizzy Mondays are back.
Oh well it's all happening in Westminster.Osborne jumped before he was pushed and Boris is back.Who'd have thought it :)
But more importantly ,sqad has flounced ! Man the lifeboats ..lol
Night all.
Morning...sunny with white fluffy clouds, that'll do. Hopefully everyone's heads will clear.

Oh dear neti, were the wasps guarding your door? The best iron I had was a Tefal superglide, expensive at the time. I was ironing Ozzy's clothes the day before he was going on holiday and it blew up. He'd never been so keen to bundle me in his car and whizz me off to the nearest store :)

Well done Jude, a lovely feeling to be valued. Yes, I like having an upstairs. Whenever I'm worried or down I seem to want to go up there. I probably inherited it from my grandma, she always went and sat by her bedroom window after tea. I think she liked to see the shops closing up on the opposite side of the road.

lol shaney, he'll be back.

(the Tefal didn't blow up, the one I had at the time)
oh buffer it...the one I had at the time blew up....grrrr...

I'll stop explaining myself, no one's interested, lol
good morning all...got the gas service man coming today so that’s my giddy social whirl sorted. I haven’t had an exploding iron, but I did have a smoking washing machine and two fridges that went crazy overnight and froze solid. Not all together obviously. I am very keen to get rid of my upstairs and move into a bungalow. I get knee phases when stairs are difficult to impossible and luckily i have a downstairs loo but showering becomes iffy and I become whiffy.
Morning all
Lovely day and no rain forecast.
I would't mind a bungalow and in fact we've looked at some but they're are all out in the villages away from bus routes and shops.
Very few bungalows here in town and where we live is so handy for all the amenities so I'll probably end up with a stair lift,if I live long enough :)

Morning all, sorry I'm late but was enthralled by Robi's iron blowing up!! I had a tefal but it got all blocked with limescale and was useless. I now have a super red Bosch with bells and whistles and is probably too heavy a wattage for the house ( we are limited to 5.750 at any time) the iron is 3,000w!!

We popped into lidl and I got a bikini, a sandwich toaster, and multi grater and some other stuff, well pleased.
It is raining and overcast today. My nose is running on one side ( no jno, we heard that one before thank you!)
I shouldn’t talk about electrics....moved the microwave to clean underneath it...plugged it back in and it went bang!
Question Author
Ooh woofy never ever move anything to clean under or around and that includes furniture! Makes life a lot easier!
I shouldn’t talk about anything....allegedly my boiler is heading west too!
does your nose run? Do your feet smell? Maybe you're built upside down...
Question Author
I knew it! I knew it, jno would say something about it!!!
