Sorry Ed to post here, its naughty I know but I can't think of another way to do it. I love the new skin on the orangedog forum, but I can't get past the first page and that took 3 attempts to load. I tried the memberlist or click on a name link to people's email but can't open them either
If I don't tell you, you will think that you have been deserted....

Here I am Jude:) Evening biddies, is it safe to come in? Shaney stopped singing German Nursery Rhymes yet? Oh good, I'll just hurry up and post before they bring Herr Slossenn Boschen on stage.*
Somebody's dropped a lottery coupon on the landing outside my door, it's been lying there for days. Must be a sign, right? so today I decided to play the lottery. Haven't done it for years so I was confused about the sum I was charged. I was worried they had charged me too little cos if they had, maybe they wouldn't pay me my millions that I fully expect to win. So, as I stood there being explained to about the sum, a man who looked like Robinson Crusoe in his sixties came up behind me and demanded sarcastically to have his horse races coupons tended to before my lottery coupons "and she can step back and think for a while". ('She' being slow-thinking me.) He said this to the tobacconist, without making contact with me. Well...! I turned around faster than Dramatic Chipmunk http://i37.tinypic.com/xds48j.gif (previously posted by Robi) and gave him the same kind of look too ha ha.
This look intimidated him to the point where he must at least have felt he owed me an explanation. And this was it (you won't believe this): "I've got an ambulance waiting for me outside. I've erm um I've got my Mum in an ambulance outside." I gave him a LOUD piece of my mind, the subject (cont.)

(cont.) being his prioritizing capacities. Didn't believe him for a moment of course but it's still too base for words, even to make that kind of excuse up. Now then, what shall I do with all my millions? Oh no, should I have used the coupon from the landing? I picked a new one, perhaps I shouldn't have...!

Due to finding the ticket I think you'll meet Robinson again... and again... it'll be one of those love to hate affairs where you hiss and spit at each other until one day the sparks fly & you give in to your supressed passions & have to be escorted swiftly from the park...you'll marry in the betting office, have your reception on the good ship Patricia and live happily ever under a coconut tree on a tiny Swedish island.
and I take exception to my brain being posted by TINYpic....hahaha

Well unless they have changed Flit (My Nan used to use it in the long squirty thing) it doesn't smell like it lol DH uses the spray as well, it smells like a shower gel or bath product to me...sort of soapy nothing in particular.
Yes Kit I remember Herr Slossen Boschen and his song that made the german ambassador cry like a little child...I love Jerome Jerome....when you are a millionairess will you still talk to us?
Lovely walk this morning, dry and cool under a beautiful full moon. The dogs tore off for miles then they come hammering back for treats (cold beef today)

Afternoon all ,been a bit wet here for a couple of days but will be fine for the next 3 days so that's OK .The mossies come out early morning and at Dusk so I do the obvious and make sure I'm in indoors at those times. If I do get bitten I have a full chemists'shop of lotions ,potions ,spray-ons ,rub-ons and whatever else I can find to put on myself.40 years ago suffered badly from insect bites but I've toughened up since then.
Hope the fires don't get near you Neti ,have all your necessary papers and valuables to hand in case you have to escape quickly .
We've been to the Dentist this morning ,cost $600 ,nearly died ,a couple of fillings a clean-up of hubby's teeth ,a bit of a fiddle with my top denture and there you have it .I knew I should have married a Dentist ! a bit late noe eh .A cheery farewell from Mr.Dumbelldam and "Seeyou next year " as we went out of the door . Oh well what's money for if not to keep other people in better circumstances than mine !!
Has anyone noticed the ads on the side here for insect repellent or is it only shown over here ? Tea Tree Oil is an excellent repellent .
Time for the News and then Antique Roadshow before Dinner ,has anyone ever tried Sweet Potato chips ? I love them not as fattening or bloating as ordinary potato chips . Bye for now ,still thinking of all the poorly folk and wishing them well .xxx

Good morning everyone. Well the fire is spreading across the island rather fast, but don't think we are in any danger as yet. I shall just sit in the middle of my pool!!
Dentists and mossies, what dreadful topics of conversation! I suffer from both!! I use Autan, although I hate it on my hands as it tastes bitter. I've had these machines that emit a high pitched noise but a) I could hear it and b) it didn't stop the mossies from attacking me!
House is a mess, needs a good clean but it is honestly too hot to do anything too much, so a quick tidy round, a sweep with the besom, as I can't be bothered to get out the hoover! I have a dreadful carpet, everything sticks to it, especially cat hairs and it's nigh on impossible to remove them with steaming it. Thinking of buying another but how do I know that won't be the same, and they are not cheap here!

Sorry Neti, I read your post twice before I realised it didn't say "sit in the middle of my poo !!! It was the exclamations marks that did it, but it conjured up a really weird picture in my mind. Take care over there.
Nice to see you Dolly. I am off to the dentist this afternoon for a refilling $600 good gracious!!! I am lucky to have a really good NHS dentist. They are not taking on any new patients and they are the only NHS dentist around here.
Your walk sounds delightful Woof. It was beautiful when I let Meggie out at 5.30am, but I went back to bed until 8.30am. It it glorious today and although we had rain and wind last night, it was nothing untoward. I believe it was bad further South in this County and hope Shaney battened herself down. Don't want her flying around wrapped in her bedsheets!!

yes, it looks life a nice day for dentistry, Lottie, so I am off too. I rather fear he's going to recommend a couple of extractions.I seem to get so many gum infections it just weakens the teeth until they get to the point of no return.
Neti, yes, just sit in the pool as the fires blaze round - I believe this is known as the 'boiled egg' approach. It was curtains for shaney, it could be curtains for you too.

Don't start me off with the Mr & Mrs S story again, I nearly piddled myself picturing them starkers & flapping around the room...'Scheisse!... bugger it!...can't take you anywhere!....' haha, brilliant
Morning all...there's a strong whiff of fear in here...oh, all off the dentist I see. I really should make an appt for my check up before they strike me off.
Hellishly windy here, I'll need my lead lined shoes on to go shopping. Hope it's not blowing like this across Ibiza neti.
The Chilean miners story's really got to me, they could be down there for months, what a nightmare.
Vinny you mean my son, Tarquin's son no 2 :o) Mmm, I'm not a fan of moving bacteria about, it's scary stuff! I've always thought that everything does best in it's own place. It's like going to another city, country etc, you become vulnerable to their bugs...well I know what I mean.
Woofy it was a Swedish chipmunk...tut...they have a look all of their own
