Sorry Ed to post here, its naughty I know but I can't think of another way to do it. I love the new skin on the orangedog forum, but I can't get past the first page and that took 3 attempts to load. I tried the memberlist or click on a name link to people's email but can't open them either
If I don't tell you, you will think that you have been deserted....

The tennis elbow's into its third month but at least the bee sting's gone down. Maybe I'm just one of those people allergic to modern life.
You're just a medical mystery Jno . It happens to the best of us :))

Yes your slippers are infested and thats why you've got rankled ankles..better up the microwave to maximum nukage. :o)
I'm glad for both of you that things are moving shaney, hope it all goes well.
I had to abandon shopping (and all hope)...these strong winds make me too dizzy, if I fell in a puddle I'd be floating around until it evaporated.

alas, it's basically a solid red stripe about an inch wide round each ankle. I thought it was pressure of socks but it now seems more likely to be shoes - I usually wear walking-boot things that cover my ankles (coz I twist the ankles rather too easily) - wearing the socks but ordinary shoes is ok and the rash vanishes after a day or two. If it's a flea, it's one that's mighty handy with a red paintbrush.
Costco last week had Climbing Santas - they sort of work their way up little ladders.

Afternoon gophers, well Robi if you're gonna plan my wedding with "Robinson" I want a double one together with R&R ha ha ha. I'm with you on that one, jno and Lottie (ask Headmistress - I've been going on about it to her in several emails ha ha!) I almost posted on a thread to say "Wow, the two of you really are of one mind - aren't you". Initially it had occured to me that while V is for Vendetta, Vendetta could be for Veritas... http://vforvendetta.warnerbros.com/ ...but as it seems that several CBers have actually met the female counterpart IRL that can't be it unless NoM and company are in on it or unless the avenger has a female accomplice. Now I'm just thinking of it in terms of Dorothy Sayers and Lord Peter Wimsey if you see what I mean.
Woofy 'Dramatic Chipmunk' is a prairie dog (one kind of gopher, just as you say) but as an internet meme it first became widely known as Dramatic Chipmunk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dramatic_Chipmunk ...so they'll probably change the name of the species now ha ha! (PS you're way to alert for 6.31!:)
All fingers crossed for Friday Shaney xxx
Back later.

It is so very hot here, and we are getting warmish ash falling from the heavens. I think some of this heat is not natural it must be from the fire, I can hardly breathe, have air con on, but hope it won't get clogged! Sorry to moan, and my suffering should be over very soon, I just cannot believe it, it's unbearable. Said g'bye to sissy and co, I shall miss her so much, she is also my best friend! but (hopefully) I'll be seeing her next month!
Oh poor jno. My dentist appointment was fine, just had a filling filed down and an xray. Most of my back teeth are just fillings with a microdot of tooth anyway. You are not having a good time are you.
When I wear socks or walking boots (which I often do I get a rash around the ankles which lasts for quite a while when I remove socks or boots. In fact these days I get rashes everywhere where this is any pressure, under bras straps, knicker 'lastic etc. My skin seems to mark very easily too. Do you think it is anything to do with heat!
Neti, a few years back in Portugal the hills were alight behind our apartment and I hated it. Lots of people died in those hills that year (think it was 2005/6). The ash was all over the pavements. It felt so wrong being on holiday whilst that was going on. We could see the flames and they seemed very near. Horrendous. That was the year I came back with compylobacter food poisoning and very nearly got admitted to hospital. Had to have nearly a month of work. Great holiday!!
Shaney, glad to hear about the scans on Friday and hope all is OK. Lots of hugs x

Lottie I was trying to find some info for you. I have a vague memory that some folk can get a histamine reaction (rash, redness etc) from pressure and or rubbing eg bra straps, tight socks etc. I recently read somewhere about a celeb who had it when he was a teenager but I can't remember who it was or find any reference
Interesting Woofy. Thanks.
I found this

I have a double CD called Closed on Account of Rabies, perhaps we should seal this thread and put up a sign Closed on Account of Scabies? I know that wasn't it Lottie so I should have cracked that joke yesterday... okay, hand the sign over to Robi, she may need it to prevent the new neighbours from moving in.
I enjoyed that article Vinny, very interesting about the theory "that micro-organisms can somehow be transported between the planets in rocks - in meteorites - to seed life where it does not yet exist." Also liked the photo of the Beer fishing boats, I've seen a Dunoon mug much like it.
Jude your bro singing for his supper looks like the life of the party:) Cute bro.
How's it going Neti, I do feel sorry for you (and all the other islanders too of course but they're not Our Neti.)

errrggg, thank you for the disfiguring diseases. I think it's something along the lines of tight elasticated socks, I've just got some with softer tops and they seem to be ok. It started out as just random little red dots but they joined together. Probably Seurat's Syndrome
