evening all... well, morning then... sorry to hear about your mum, Woofgang, I hope it's not too hard for you.

Time for bed
well... <looks around at vast, echoing halls> don't tell me everyone's rushed outside just because there's a little sprinkling of sunshine... maybe I shall go back to bed again.
Good morning All
Thinking about you Woofy xx

I'm having a quiet weekend. Sorted my pots out in the garden and planted some pansies hoping that they thrive.

My front door has now been repaired and I can now go out and in that way. Had to have a new lock, and now,as my sister says when you own a house or car there's always something wants doing, my driver's side window wont wind down so it's my car mechanic I will be ringing up tomorrow.

The sun hasn't come out here yet Jno but I've put my washing out hoping that it does.

See yer later 'gater(s)

hello all I am home briefly. Mum passed very peacefully yesterday. She had been struggling for some time and (I think) just gave up struggling. A good quiet end, two of us were there. Thank you for your good wishes. I will be back in a while but there is quite a lot to do.

Wasn't it a beautiful weekend? Fortunately I live close enough to be able to go back and forth so spent time at home this weekend as well as at Mum's.

Anyway take care all, I will catch youse when I can
Dear woofy it is very sad to lose one's mother, but it was her time, and it was peaceful. God bless her and your family. x
sorry to hear that, woofgang, but she was fortunate to live until her time had come - my own mum died that way and I hope I do too. Best wishes.
Sorry to hear about your Mum Woofy and my sincere condolences to you and your family .
Good that it was peaceful for her .Take care xx
Oh woofy I'm so sorry you've lost your mum, it's so hard to watch someone struggle. As shaney said to me, take care of yourself. Love to you & your family, thinking of you. x

My brother is still slowly improving & eating some solid food (instead of tube) but that brings with it the problem of his swallowing difficulties.

It's very bright & sunny but so cold here this morning & I see the wildlife are moving back in. The birds are busy & I've been watching the smallest, cutest squirrel exploring the garden, he must be this year's baby. I don't suppose he'll seem quite so sweet when I'm tripping over bloomin' huge holes in my lawn & pulling out the dozens of sunflower shoots he's lovingly planted in my pots though.

Hope the 'lurgies' are feeling better today

~~May your Mum Rest in Peace Woofy~~
R.I.P.
Morning - Well, lurgy seems to have been a very fleeting thing, feel fine today. (except that I've lost all my shares in B&B, but hey ho!!)

Yesterday Mr N and I went to the aquarium in San Antonio, well, it was so out of the way and hard to get to, and wasn't worth the effort, By Aquarium one thinks Sea World, when in fact it was a subterranean cave with water and a few fish sloshing about! Took one whole minute to walk the whole length ( if one took one's time). Still it was something to do. Went for lunch at a famous cafe in St Gertrudis where they only serve toasted baguettes, it was heaving and had at least 3 large rooms, and people were queuing down the road to get in. It was Ok as sandwiches go, but not bothered to rush back: Ah such is life!
Vinny that was beautiful!
It's a worry all this financial stuff, what's a biddy to do with her 1 19s 11d? Seems I now belong to the the Derbywide or the Nationsh1te or some-such. Maybe we need to set up our own bank, how about the Biddyford & Bingbong?
catch me lending to biddies so they can buy the new season's liberty bodices, I think not.
Yeah right we'll deposit our lives' savings into Biddyford & Bingbong. Nice try Robinia, I see you've made some money of your own, too, ha ha ha...!

Dear Woofy, it's good to hear your Mum went so peacefully and that two of you were able to be with her. We'll be here when you come back or if you just want to throw a single sentence in now and then that's fine too you know. Don't forget to eat and sleep <3

Oo Vinny you've almost been to Porlock! Ever since youth I've been completely fascinated with "the person from Porlock"! tried to meet him once That cliff railway looks better than a roller coaster. (Not to mention it looks better than climbing the cliff by foot :-) (Couldn't watch your YT post for Woofy though - another one that's "not available in your country" - grrr!)

Henning Mankell's publishing company (Leopard) is just a fifteen minute walk away from where I live, Shaney - shall I drop by and leave him a message from you? Think of all the handbags that kind of royalties could get you...

Car mechanic's on his way Jude!
Deepest Sympathy Woofy a very sad time for you.

Thanks for the info on Hunters and Prospect Inns Vinny Pity about the peacocks not being there I remember seeing (and hearing)them as we always made a trip down there every time we were in that part of the country which was many.

Loved the car Mechanic Kit. Not quite like mine!!Anyway I have rang him and he says it could be a 20 job if it's the switch or a good bit dearer if it's the motor. So I might not bother having it done. Still thinking of changing it anyway.

Had a friend over today from Burton and we went to lunch in Shardlow, where there are lots of pubs to choose from.
Just dropped her off in town to catch her bus home.

Bye for now xx
